Fatty Su Of The Su Clan

The Liu family members couldn't help but shake their heads, they all though that Gu Shang big mouth was going to get him in trouble one day.

The old general expression went dark as he stared at Gu Shang.

"Gu Shang, you must be careful of the things you say so that you don't incurre the anger of the Prince of the north.

You can brag all you want at the Liu manor but I hope you don't say this outside"

Gu Shang sighed before nodding but he felt aggrieved, he was the mighty Grand General for heaven sake, the old general nodded his head in satisfaction.

"Today the Qing Clan will be giving slots to the younger generation to join the welcome party for the prince of the north tomorrow" the old general added.

Gu Shang was surprised, "Why are the Qing Clan handling this?, shouldn't the imperial family be responsible for this?" he asked with a frown.

"Why are you acting so surprised, the Qing family power is only below the imperial family so I see no problem with this" Liu Feifei replied Gu Shang.

"More like rule together with the imperial family" Liu Tang added.

The old general gave Liu Tang a death stare causing him to lower his head.

"Why is the emperor giving so much power to the Qing Clan, aren't they supposed to be he's subordinate? Gu Shang continued asking.

"Not exactly so, the Qing Clan are able to have this power because they founded this empire with the imperial family and have existed as long as the empire and ruling dynasty itself"

The old general explained while pulling his long beard.

Gu Shang nodded before continuing to eat.

"Feifei, you should take Gu Shang along with you to attend the banquet, I heard the Qing Clan young Mistress would be in charge of distributing the slots.

Gu Shang can build his network there since he's just arrived.

Liu Feifei was only planning to show her face and leave so it won't be a big deal to bring Gu Shang along, so she nodded.

Gu Shang was unwilling to, but couldn't refuse so he accepted.

The other young members of the Liu family had no problem with this since they knew it would be a waste on time if they went.

After the family had breakfast, Gu Shang and Liu Feifei left for the banquet at the Qing Clan manor.

It wasn't an understatement to call the Qing Clan manor a mini palace, it was large and adorned with golden pillars and luxurious gardens. 

Even the main door was a large golden door with guards in golden armor guardian it.

In front of the Qing Clan manor stood many luxurious carriages and palanquins as young masters and ladies in luxurious robes got down to enter.

When Liu Feifei, got to the main gate, one of the guards respectfully asked for her to provide her identity.

She took a jade with the Liu family insignia on it and showed it to the guard, he nodded and gave way for her to enter but when Gu Shang was entering, he was blocked.

"Servants aren't allowed into this banquet" the guard respectfully said.

"Who are you calling a servant? he's my husband". Liu Feifei said scoldings the guard.

The guard smiled wryly before apologizing to Gu Shang. 

Gu Shang really liked the attitude of the middle aged guard.

He couldn't blame the guard because the white robes he was wearing were indeed simple and cheap.

"Hold it there!"

Gu Shang was about to enter when one of the guards came out from within the manor.

He was a fat man and wearing the golden armor made him look funny.

"Young miss, I'm sorry to inform you but your husband can't enter" he said disdainfully.

"Why?" Liu Feifei asked confused.

The fat guard sneered and looked at the couple disdainfully.

"Only first class families and above can bring a plus one, and to my knowledge the Liu family don't fit the category do they?" he asked scornfully.

The fat guard was the captain of the Qing Clan outer walls guards, he looked down on the second class families because he had just been treated badly by the first class young heirs and had nowhere to vent his anger but thankfully the Liu family came in time.

"What are you talking about, the invitation clearly said two?" Liu Feifei asked angrily.

"It must have been a mistake, and how dare you raise your voice at me!" the fatty was getting more pissed, he had just been scolded by the heir's of the first class families but now even a second class family heir dared to raise her voice at him.

"You are no longer allowed to join the banquet" the fatty declared.

"Why?" Liu Feifei was angry and confused at the same time.

"Why? because I said so, the fatty replied arrogantly.

Liu Feifei was so angry that she was about to faint.

"Hmph, what are you going to do about it? even if the Liu family were in their prime you wouldn't still be fit enough to stand before the Qing Clan" The fatty declared smugly.

People began to gather around the gate because of the commotion.

"Who offended fatty Huan? they're are in for some bad luck this morning"

Gu Shang didn't really want to attend the banquet and wanted to leave but no one was allowed to bully his wife in front of him.

He stood in front of Liu Feifei and glanced at the fatty causing him to shudder.

"You are Gu Shang, the Sky Lord expert, What are you planning to do, he was about to step back in fear but when he remembered they were on his turf, he got his confidence and stood up to Gu Shang.

"If we leave the banquet today, can you handle the consequences?" Gu Shang asked.

The onlookers and the fatty couldn't help but burst out laughing.

Who did the young man think he was, the Qing Clan had three Sky Lord's so he wasn't really a threat to them.

"Who do you think you are?" the fatty asked.

"Someone the Qing Clan can't afford to offend" he replied in a matter of fact tone.

The onlookers and fatty Huang were really dying of laughter. Only the imperial family could say that to the Qing Clan, this young man was pretty delusional.

"Gu Shang took a good look at the guard to remember him before taking Liu Feifei's hands ready to leave.

Liu Feifei couldn't help but shake her head, Gu Shang bragging was getting out of hand, she had to find a way to stop him or his bragging will definitely kill him one of this days.

Before they could leave a fat young man who was even fatter than fatty Huang appeared in front of them wearing luxurious and expensive robes and accessories, he was chubby and kind of cute.

Yesterday when I heard you were alive, I couldn't sleep and woke up as early as the cock crow to come and see you.

The fatty said holding Gu Shang hands excitedly.

The onlookers couldn't help but hold their breaths, if there's one thing fatty Su hated, it was being called a fatty.

"I got fat because I ate whenever I missed you, me being fat is as a result of my yearning for you" said fatty Su shamelessly straight through his teeth with a face full distress and agony.

"Cringe" was all the onlookers could think about.

"But brother Su why are you leaving the banquet so soon" he asked curiously.

Gu Shang stepped aside and pointed at Fatty Huang, "He said we should leave because we are not fit to join, We told him that we were with the Su Clan but he said he didn't care and that this was his turf and he could do whatever he wanted, he even said the Su Clan wasn't that powerful and were only rich for nothing, he also called you fat" Gu Shang said innocently.

The crowd drew in sharp breaths, "What a scheming bastard, fatty Huang never said those things,but Gu Shang conveniently added it, despicable" the crowd muttered but non of them were going to point out the lies because of fatty Huang tyranny.

At this moment Fatty Su face was as black as a chimney rock.

Fatty Huang tried to explain, but fatty Su grabbed the collar of the armor and gave fatty Huang three slaps in succession.
