Flashback

"Looks like Lily and Jaden are really tired," said Kylie, who had just put her little daughter Lily and Jaden, her adopted sister-in-law's son, into bed.

Edward and Axelle nodded their heads confirming Kylie's words.

"Aren't you tired? Aren't you new today?" asked Axelle who was a little worried about his sister-in-law.

Kylie chuckled a little and told Axelle that she had enough rest because their flight was up in the morning and she had rested earlier.

"Thank goodness it's like that, I guess you really just arrived and haven't rested yet."

Again Kylie chuckled and shook her head.

"Sit down, Ah.. do you want some hot tea?" Kylie whispered to the two young men in front of her.

Inevitably like a submissive child, the two just followed Kylie's instructions and sat quietly waiting for Kylie to finish making drinks for the two.

"So you've been together with Jenni here all this time?" asked Kylie as she walked closer to Edward and Axelle sat herself down as well.

Edward and Axelle looked at each other and soon nodded their heads in unison.

"We are always together accompanying her here," Axelle voiced to Kylie.

"How come? You know Jenni ran away?" asked Kylie who wanted to know more about Jenni's past, which had been hidden for so long.

Axelle took a deep breath.

"I heard from Edward then."

Kylie frowned for a moment.

"Ah, shouldn't you have been in London by then to continue your studies?" asked Kylie, remembering well the past when it happened.

A nod of the head can be given by Axelle to Kylie.

"Then?"

Inevitably Axelle gave a code to Edward who was there first and saw the response from his friend first. After all, Jenni's past is a secret between Edward, Axelle, and Jenni of course.

How is the struggle of Edward who finally decided to follow Jenni to France, and Axelle who was forced to go back and forth from London - France.

Soon Edward nodded his head in agreement with Axelle, allowing him to tell Kylie. After all, Kylie is Jenni's sister-in-law too, right?

"At first I didn't know if Jenni was in a slump at that time, I didn't even know that Jenni's mother died which made Jenni feel like she was crushed in an instant, until Edward contacted me after he found out that Jenni had prepared everything, including tickets, advanced lectures, etc."

"So you know that Jenni and Daniel's relationship was strained?" asked Kylie, now looking at Edward.

Edward took a deep breath and let it out slowly. He tried to remember the memories of the past that he can not forget until this moment.

Flashback On

"Jen, did you know that what you're doing is risky? Besides, shouldn't you wait for him to come back from America and tell him you're pregnant with his child?"

Jenni shook her head with her eyes looking red.

"I can't wait for him any longer Edward, he will continue to grow, and what if I destroy his career? I can't bear to do that, I've given him the opportunity to tell me what he's hiding from me before he travels for his job, but he didn't say anything to me, so I don't think there's anything wrong with me making that decision Edward."

Edward fell silent. For a moment he just froze in place and said nothing. Jenni's sentence clearly says that she has given Daniel a chance, but Daniel doesn't realize it, so isn't Jenni's action to be understood?

That's what Edward can conclude at this time.

Edward took a deep breath, trying to think again and think rationally.

Jenni who is in front of him now looks irrational and somewhat reckless.

"Jen, do you consider me and Axelle your family?" Edward asked in a much lower and gentler tone than before.

Jenni sobbed a little and soon nodded her head slowly.

"You're my family," Jenni finally told Edward how she felt right now.

"Well then I will support you, and also be by your side if you are going to that place you said."

Jenni rounded her eyes perfectly. She did not expect that the young man in front of her would say that.

"But--"

Jenni had not finished refuting the sentence that Jenni was about to say, Edward first cut Jenni's conversation back.

"I will finish my thesis here, then will follow you there, and as long as I am here, then Axelle will take care of you there."

Thump!

Jenny couldn't say anything. She didn't expect her best friend to treat her like that.

Some time ago she almost forgot that her family was not people who only had blood relations with her, but there were still many people who were close to her who could be called the family to her.

"How's Jen? If you don't let Axelle and I take care of you then I won't let you go there alone in this condition."

Edward who was fairly firm, in the end, made Jenni unable to say anything.

The girl thought for a moment, and soon nodded her head slowly following all the conditions that Edward gave her.

Flashback Off

"Wait… you told Jenni that Axelle would look after her while in France, did you already know that?" Kylie asked looking at Axelle, which Axelle shrugs in return.

"Of course not, he only found out after that night I told Jenni everything that happened, and Axelle agreed to my proposal without rebuttal."

Spontaneously, Kylie was amazed by the words of the two young men in front of her. She didn't think that a friendship could be like that.

"Do you ever regret doing what you did for Jenni?" asked Kylie curiously.

Simultaneously they both shook their heads. According to both of them, Jenni is her family, so there can be no regrets that they feel as long as they can really take care of the only female friend among the three of them.

"Woah, I salute you, I can't imagine that you must have been misunderstood to be the father of Jaden, right?"

Again and again, the nod of the head in unison and a chuckle can be heard from the lips of the two.

"Jaden is like our own child since we took turns taking care of the boy since birth, so it seems we have no problem with that, don't you think Axelle?"

"Yup, of course," said Axelle who agreed with Edward's words.

'I didn't expect to find a friendship like this.'
