Goblin King 3

After eating a bunch of grilled goblin, Jon started to heal up. He didn't know if it was the game or his class that allowed him to heal fast, but he didn't overthink it. Dirknooth decided to make him some use out of the remaining bones from the hobgoblin. Soon, he realized he couldn't learn crafting. Seeing the goblin struggle, Jon gave him a hand as soon as he used leather to fasten bones to his shins and forearms a familiar soon went off.

*Ding* **You obtained the skill Crafting**

Jon didn't care much about learning his new skill. He was just happy to see Dirknooth run around with his new armor pieces. All of their joy ended real quick when a scream of pain bellowed out.

Dirknooth turned to Jon and said, "Jon, enemies." While Jon slept, Dirknooth dug pitfalls and traps around the farm, unlocking the skill Trapping. At this time, a goblin had trip one such trap.

Jon grabbed four daggers, Dirknooth retrieved, and a new one from the most recent goblins killed. Jon equipped them and climbed to the top of the barn to get a better view. Jon looked out and didn't see any movement. Hearing leaves rustle, Jon watched as arrows shot from the tree line. He ducked into the barn, and several projectiles stabbed into the roof. A few more painful screams yelled out, but several goblins ran out from the tree line wielding close-range weapons.

"Dirknooth, how many?"

"I can't count that high."

Jon slammed his hand against his head. "Dirknooth, use the main doors as a death funnel. We will kill as many as we can." The goblin knight nodded in agreement.

The first three goblins were scouts and dashed through the door first. The first one of the three received a knight in the shoulder and side of the head. The second used its arm to catch the dagger flying at it. The last throwing knife went low and stabbed the third goblin in the leg, causing it to fall. Dirknooth swung his shovel from the opposite side, instantly killing the second one. He stuck his trusty shovel downward, killing the final one.

"Dirknooth, toss me all of those daggers. Let's attack the next bunch like these three." The goblin threw the daggers back with the addition of the three new ones from the scouts.

The warriors didn't rush in like the scouts. They realized they're clan members died as soon as they entered. They decided to circle the barn to look for the other entrances. Jon was peeking out and saw at least seven goblins walked by them. Jon had to think fast.

"Dirknooth, get to the roof."

"Roof?"

"Now."

Jon ran over, closed the main entrance. He dragged the goblins to use as a door stopper. He then ran to one of the doors as it swung open. Leaping behind it, many goblins rushed through the back door.

"Dirknooth, destroy the center beam." Yelled Jon as he jumped out the door slamming it. Outside he pressed his weight against it. Dirknooth didn't waste any time and activated Fury. With one mighty swing, he collapsed the entire roof onto the goblins inside. The building exploded outward, knocking Jon off his feet. Jon turned around to see a huge goblin bust out from the wreckage.

"RAWWw," roared the angry creature. Snarling, it looked at Jon and activated Fury. Before it could take a step, a shovel burst from its chest from behind. Falling forward, Dirknooth pulled out its shovel.

*Ding* **Player Jon has leveled up**

Jon knew he needed to be more accurate. He added his new point into dexterity. Dirknooth climbed out of the ruble, and both of them hid behind the wreckage.

"Too many. Whole clan is here."

"The whole clan. F@%^!" cursed Jon. "More hobgoblins?"

Dirknooth just answered with a head nod. He knew this would be a fierce battle. Dirknooth's Knight's Aura told him that missiles were incoming. He grabbed the destroyed barn door and held it over the two of them. Several arrows fell from the sky and made the area look like a porcupine.

On the other side of the barn in the tree, the archers were finally out of arrows. They threw down their bows and equipped their daggers. A loud thunderous goblin voice bellowed out. "Avenge, our clansmen!"

Thirteen goblins wielding daggers ran towards the destroyed barn, followed by a hobgoblin wielding a spear. Fourteen creatures were encroaching onto their position. Jon's mind raced. Even though he had gradually gotten used to the brutal nature of Cyber Horizon. The battle was a little too much for him, and he was starting to freak out. Dirknooth placed his hand on Jon's shoulder.

"Go. I stay. I fight."

Jon smiled at the dumb goblin. He couldn't escape even if he wanted too.

"Thank you, Dirknooth."

Jon resolved himself and climbed on top of the barn pile. He started to toss all of his daggers at the incoming goblins, only taking out four of them. With his last knife, Jon jumped down. He pulled Dirknooth to run into woods in front of them. The other goblins all stopped their assault to dodge the incoming daggers.
