Two days went by since Dirknooth obtained the Shovel Knight class. They used the farm as their base and traveled around, killing goblins and other creatures. The two new monsters they slew was a ForestRat and Rockbeak. Sadly even after Dirknooth cooked them, Jon didn't obtain any new skills. Looking at their stats, Jon was satisfied with them.

Besides cooking in his spare time, Dirknooth cleaned his Farmer's shovel like it was his prized possession. He also liked the new armbrace he received from a lone Level 5 goblin they killed.
Jon then looked at his character quest to kill the Golbin King. He turned to Dirknooth, "Do you know where the goblin clan here resides at?"
"Yes, I can show, but they won't take to kind to us."
Jon thought for a second. His current lifestyle wasn't too bad. He didn't want to risk his life if he didn't have to. After seeing Blue die and not come back in videogames, he somewhat remembered, Jon realized this game only gives you one life.
"Alright, let us head there first tomorrow."
Before Dirknooth could respond, they heard a snapping sound. "I think we have guests." The two walked out of the barn to see a huge goblin with orange skin walk towards them. Seeing a human and goblin made the hobgoblin pause for a second.
"You betray us!"
"I serve Jon. You, not my master."
Jon just let them talk. He wished he accepted the hobgoblin quest now. The orange creature raised its stone ax and yelled, "You are disgrace. Attack!"
Several goblins ran out of the tree line and attacked the duo. Several had new weapons Jon hadn't seen them use yet. Jon threw out the two weaker daggers and pierced a goblin, each with them.
"ARRRGGGG!" The hobgoblin swung his stone ax at Dirknooth. Bracing himself, the knight parried the attack with his trusty shovel. The two exchanged many blows. The hobgoblin couldn't figure out how such a weaker creature could block his attacks.
Two more goblins, one wielding a spear and one a bone club, charged at Jon. He didn't want to toss out his last dagger, so he began to throw his remaining rocks. After pelting the two away, Jon realized he was out of stones to throw. A loud crack drew his attention over to Dirknooth's fight.
The hobgoblin used a skill called Goblin Smash. The skills doubled the damage of his ax shattering Dirknooth's armbrace and injuring his arm. Jon looked down at his last dagger and yelled, "Dirknooth, distract him!"
Dirknooth nodded to Jon and slid between the giant creature's legs. The hobgoblin was stupified to hear Jon speak their language. Even the other goblins stopped in their tracks and stared at him funny. From behind, Dirknooth slashed his shovel at the orange creature's back, hurting him. The hobgoblin swung his ax behind him to get the pesky goblin. Jon threw his extra two stat points into Luck and tossed his remaining dagger. Distracted, the hobgoblin had his chest pierced by a flying knife.
**Lucky Hit was triggered**
*Ding* **Player Jon has leveled up**
Seeing their leader die, the other goblins attacked the defenseless human. One of the four died from bleeding out, but the other three pounced towards Jon.
"JON!" screamed the Shovel Knight.
