Goblin Attack 5

The duo decided to patrol the area around the farm. They ran into another goblin scouting for the monster's clan. Jon and Dirknooth had a tough time, but eventually, they defeated the goblin. Jon realized that Dirknooth needed a weapon. He tried to hand the scout's dagger, but Dirknooth shook his head and told Jon he couldn't equip it. Storing the knife on himself, Jon had his partner drag the goblin back to the farm. Once there, Dirknooth started to rip the scout apart and began to grill it over a fire.

Staring at the goblin working hard by the fire, Jon sat there and wondered what he could do to equip his new ally. He tried to find the branch Blue used, but remembered the fire the goblin made. Smacking his hand to his head, he realized the goblin used the branch as wood. Sighing, he looked over at the area Blue was buried. He wondered what happened to someone once they died in this world.

"Jon, meat, here." The goblin handed him the goblin scout's arm grilled. Grabbing the arm, a notification went off.

*Ding* **You were gifted Grilled Goblin**

*Grilled Goblin- Goblin flesh grilled by an amateur. It satisfies hunger and revitalizes one's stamina.*

*Notification* **If a Monster Mage eats this meat it increases the chances of obtaining skills from it to 2%**

Seeing the information displayed for Jon, he just smiled and began eating. After finishing the entire arm, a notification went off.

*Ding* **You obtained the skill Dagger Mastery**

*Notification* **Player already obtained the skill Dagger Mastery. Experience points will be added to the already existing skill**

*Ding* **Dagger Mastery has leveled up to Lv 3**

Jon was beginning to like his new class more and more. He could get stronger just by eating monsters. The only thing that bothered him the most was his current quest wanted him to face off against the Goblin King.

The night came and went. Jon knew they needed to find something for Dirknooth to fight with. He looked over at the shovel he buried Blue with. He picked up the shovel and looked at its properties.

* Farmer's Shovel (Low Quality) (+1 STR) – A shabby shovel used to pierce the earth and move dirt.*

"Hey, Dirknooth, come try and equip this shovel." The goblin came over and grabbed the tool out of Jon's hands, and a light encompassed Dirknooth. Dirknooth's skin color changed from forest green to blueish green. His build became stalky, and his eyes became a piercing blue. Jon opened the menu to check his stats. In couldn't believe his eyes.

Jon was surprised Dirknooth leveled up and obtained a new class. "Is it this easy to obtain a class?" Jon asked himself. He didn't know that perfect circumstances had to meet to obtain a class out of an academy. Academies only gave out basic classes such as Warrior, Ranger, Rogue, and Mage. All other classes must be met with special circumstances. Dirknooth was the first monster to equip a shovel meeting the requirements for the class, Shovel Knight.

Jon noticed he lost Blunt mastery but gained Shovel Mastery. He clicked on the skill and its information displayed before him.

*Shovel Mastery Lv 3 – A skill exclusive to the Shovel Knight. With a shovel in his hand he will defend all enemies and the earth itself from the one it swears its allegiance to.*

* Knight's Aura (Passive) (MAX LV) – (+2 STR & +2 DEF) The aura coming off any warrior recognized as a knight. Can use it to defend against spirit and aura attacks.*

He looked at the skill while he was at it and was impressed with it. Maybe with the improved Dirknooth, he could face the Goblin King.
