Beast Wave 6

On the other side of the hoard, a group of humans wearing matching capes arrived. Three mages combined fireball spells to kill several Foremen in a fiery explosion, the warriors charged them, and archers notched their arrows.

Jon was oblivious to their battle beginning besides the explosion. He didn't have time to inquire about it as several Molemen attacked. By now, Jon's movements have become smoother and didn't rely on Rat Sprint or Goblin Smash to fight and dodge. Slowly and surely, he was fortifying his own battle instinct.

Blue and Mary crashed from exhaustion. The Molemen focused all their attention on three outside of the wall, leaving them alone for now.

The Molemen outside the wall were relentless, but fear began to creep into the grunts fighting the last three. The ones fighting Pedro had finally stopped charging in, though. They just stared at him like facing God of Death himself.

"ROOOOAAAAARRRRRRRR," hollered Dirknooth. He unlocked two race skills called Monster Cry and Big Head. Unleashing his Monster Cry, Dirknooth's stats all get a boost. Dirknooth removed his Knight's Aura and allowed Fury to take full control. His Shovel strikes became vicious, and eventually, the Molemen stopped attacking his as well.

Only Jon had to face the onslaught of Molemen. Covered in blood, Jon wielding his two daggers seemed unstoppable, but he was genuinely exhausted. Seeing him at his end, the Molemen didn't let up. Three attacked at the same time. Jon sidestepped both of them and ripped open their guts with swift strikes. The final one received a dagger through the eye.

"Keep coming. I'll kill all of you!"

Two more jumped at him from behind. He threw his daggers without looking and killed them mid-air. A notification went off before they hit the ground.

*Ding* **Skill Throwing has reached Lv 10**

*Ding* **You obtained the sub-skill Trajectery**

As the bodies hit the ground and Jon retrieved his weapons, he looked out and could see almost a dotted line where his knives would fly if he threw them. This new skill meant he wouldn't have to guess for his throws ever again.

Before he could test it out, more Molemen kept attacking. Spears and Pickaxes swung at him while he dodged them. Besides the few scraps, Jon had become an excellent dodger. As a Moleman was about to attack, a giant iron ax split it's head open.

"There are some villagers alive?" stated the fat bearded warrior. The shiny iron armor was coated in Molemen's blood, and his cape was torn from the fighting.

After giving the warrior a once over, the reality kicked Jon back into gear, and he began killing again. He didn't have time to answer this man's questioning. Seeing the young man go back to killing quickly, the warrior followed suit and started to hack away. With the new help, Jon drove the Molemen to retreat a little. As they backed off, a terrible screams burst out from the warrior's party attacking the Foremen Molemen. The beast king, Moleman King, attacked the human party. His skills caught them off guard, and two warriors died in seconds.

The big warrior looked at Jon and said," You have it covered here. I need to head back over."

"Thank you." It was the only words Jon could get out between his exhaustion.

The warrior charged over, and an epic battle unfolded. Jon could barely pay attention as Dirknooth came over and held him up.

"Humans. Strong."

"Yeah..."

"You ok, Jon?"

"Tired..."

Dirknooth grunted in agreement. The Molemen didn't know to help their king or to keep attacking the camp. In their stupor, they just stayed in place and watched the battle. Mary came out at some point and saw Jon being held up by the hobgoblin. Pedro walked over to Mary, and they met Jon by the gate. Blue leaned against the wall for a well-deserved rest.

"Jon, why has the attack stopped?"

Jon pointed at the beast king. The two of them didn't know what to feel. The beast king was huge compared to the Molemen they faced. It was about four meters tall and wore a giant iron helm. Its long iron spear seemed like a tree trunk. The group barely held their own against the massive creature.

Jon knew they had to join, but none of them had the energy. It then hit Jon that tons of energy were lying all around them. "Dirknooth eat up. Let's get full and assist them."

"Good plan."

The two sat in place and began eating raw Molemen. Pedro and Mary couldn't stomach the scene, so they focused on the fight with the beast king. Jon purposely tries to eat from many Molemen to obtain an ability, but he didn't get any. He could feel his stamina and strength returning to him bite by bite.

After filling their bellies, Jon looked at Dirknooth. "Ready?"

"Let's go."

Pedro, at some point, grabbed the iron pot lid they used for cooking. "Here," Pedro said, holding out the top. Dirknooth couldn't speak human but knew the human was giving him a replacement for his lost shield. The hobgoblin gave him a salute and grabbed his new shield. Mary brought over the spare Goblin daggers for Jon.

"Thanks, you guys. Protect the camp while we go help."

"Of course," replied Pedro.

"Be careful," urged Mary.

Jon and Dirknooth raced to help the group tip the balance in their favor. The group had lost a mage and archer while the two gorged themselves on raw Molemen meat, and only six remained, two of each class.

A mage in the back yelled, "Rick and Jii, aim at the gap in his help. Simon, distract him." The bearded ax warrior ran to the back-side of the beast and attacked with his signature move. The giant Moleman swatted him away with one swing of his spear. The archers tried to hit him but only crashed against the helm.

"GOBLIN SMASH!" yelled Jon and Dirknooth, leaping at the beast king.

I won't lie, I did imagine Jon and Dirknooth as Luffy and Goku just eating while a battle going on.
