Chilling Finale (End of Volume 1)

Almost in slow motion, neither Ember nor the Void Ant Queen moved. A sizable hole was burned and corroded straight through the major savage beast, a death blow that had only been held at bay by its sheer vitality and shock.

A fierce shaking inside her dantian awoke Ember from her dazed state. Broken from her reverie, Ember searched around and found Noxtis knocked out a short distance away. A small tree is broken and lying on the ground. Just draped across the trunk was Noxtis, lying completely unconscious.

Just then, the Void Ant Queen began to crumble, the light in its void dark eyes fading out. Its massive carapace careening to the ground... and right toward the unconscious felinekin.

'Savages!'

Filled with an unknown source of power, Ember burst forth with all her speed, ignoring anything else but her love. Her crimson dragon fire coated part of her body and even transformed parts of her feet and back into pure crimson flame.
