Luo Qingben (2)

The youth was called Zhang Bai, an outer disciple just like Luo Qingben. Shen Long liked his personality. He was frank and truthful. Unlike most cultivators, he deeply cared about justice. He attempted to save Luo Qingben, but he really couldn't. As an outer disciple, he basically had no rights nor any privileges. He was still in Late Foundation Establishment, so he really couldn't do anything by himself.

Shen Long quickly went to the Justice Department within the palace with Zhang Bai. The entrance stood two guards, patrolling around the department. Upon seeing Shen Long, they immediately walked up to him and greeted him, but spared no attention to Zhang Bai. It was obvious that they only cared about Shen Long as he was wearing a green robe.

Shen Long absolute despised this kind of people. They had no sense of respect, and all they know was bootlicking. Even though Shen Long typically enjoyed other's flatter, he didn't enjoy those two's behaviour. Shen Long was properly triggered as he walked in angrily.

"Tell your Supervisor to see me! As a personal disciple, I request an audience immediately!" Shen Long shouted loudly in the hall.

Everyone in the Department glared at Shen Long as their expressions clearly communicated their hostility. Through facial expression, they were clearly telling Shen Long to back the f**k off. This triggered Shen Long even more. Meanwhile, the Supervisor walked out of the room to greet Shen Long.

The man was absolutely ripped. Even though he was in his Supervisor uniform, his muscles could still be visible. However, his figure was slightly unnatural. Shen Long's immediate thought was that he definitely took steroids but quickly sorted out his mind as it was impossible in the cultivation world.

"Greetings, Shen Long! I am the supervisor on duty today, Zhen Gui. May I help you out? Please calm down first. Maybe there's some misunderstanding between our Department and you?" He politely asked in his soft voice, which was totally unexpected.

"Hm. At least he knows some manners. He doesn't seem that rude but his voice is so soft.... A guy on steroids... I mean... A muscular man could speak like this?! Why is everyone in this palace so strange!?? I thought the weird guy in the Library one is an exception... It seems like I'm horribly wrong..." Shen Long thought to himself as he glanced at Zhen Gui's horrifying muscles.

"Maybe we do have some misunderstanding. I am here today because I want to see Luo Qingben's investigation report. I don't see any evidence, nor any proof of his crime. He clearly didn't steal from the RAD (Resources Allocation Department) yet you guys didn't do a thorough investigation!" Shen Long spoke as he tried to calm himself down.

"May I speak to you for a second? Brother Long?" Zhen Gui spoke as he brought Shen Long into his own office. There was an evil smile on his face which slightly startled Shen Long. However, Shen Long was sure that nothing could happen inside the room due to his status as a personal disciple. Yet so, he was still slightly reluctant as he followed him.

"Brother Long, brother Long. Drink a cup of tea first! Take it slow, alright? I can tell that you are a smart man, so I'm gonna cut straight to the point. Your friend pissed off Zuo Qifeng. The end of story. So he will get his punishments. There's nothing we can do. You should understand as well, right? So, let's drop the matter. I will tell my subordinates to go light on your friend, and let's just pretend nothing has happened! Win-win situation!" Zeng Gui said as he held his cup in his hand.

"Win-win your sister! Who the hell is Zuo Qifeng!? I don't care who the hell he is. If Luo Qingben didn't do anything wrong, he didn't do anything wrong. Just because you are afraid of that punk - and you arrested my friend!? Do you know how to spell the word - justice!? And you call yourself a supervisor of the JUSTICE Department? You are a disappointment." Shen Long angrily shouted though he was interrupted by Zeng Gui.

"You dare to address Zuo Qifeng as a punk? You sure talk big! Just because you are a personal disciple, it doesn't mean that you are absolute here. Any challenger would have the same status as you, especially the number 15 fighter in our palace! Yea. So what if we are corrupted? So what if he paid us? Do you have any evidence!? Hahahaa! I suggest you back the f**k off before Zuo Qifeng comes and beats your ass. As a disciple, he has the rights to challenge any cultivator to a PK regardless of your status. He won't kill you, but breaking a few bones of yours won't be a problem. Now, f**k off. Your friend won't die here. He will just suffer for a few more days and he will be out. Now get the f**k out!" Zeng Gui's attitude changed 180 degrees.

(If you aren't familiar with the term - 180 degrees - it basically just means it changes completely as a circle is 360 degrees. This would rotate the circle and show the different side of a person!)

"So what if he is the number 15 challenger? I don't give a shit! I'm definitely going to report you all. If he dares challenge me, I will make sure I beat his ass! Tell him to come to find me, if he is a Man! Come! Fight me, and let Luo Qingben go!" Shen Long spoke with confidence though he started imagining himself fighting a Peak Demigod.

"Good! Good! I will definitely tell Zuo Qifeng what you have said today! If you asked nicely, maybe Brother Qifeng would have let this matter slide. Now that you have pissed both him and I off, you and both your friend will suffer. I'll give you one last chance. Kowtow five times and lick my shoes, and I'll let you off! Hahahahah! You think I'm looking down on you? Yeah, I AM. What are you gonna do about it?" Zeng Gui arrogantly said as he leaned backwards onto his chair.

As a stubborn person, Shen Long, of course, won't submit to Zeng Gui. First of all, this was extremely embarrassing. Even if there was no one around, Shen Long would be disguisted by himself after. Second of all, Shen Long would definitely not apologize as he was doing the right thing, and Zeng Gui was obviously in the wrong.

Shen Long knew he f**ked up real hard this time. He was not ready for a proper, physical fight, especially against the top fighters. It seemed like all his insults won't be able to reveal themselves in the cultivation world. Shen Long, however, didn't want to back out either. As a man, he couldn't just go back on his own words, so this battle would definitely be unavoidable.

"You... You... Arghhhh.... Let me ask you a question. How long have you practised to look this ugly? By the way, you bulky muscle looks trash. They look absolutely disguisting. I bet you haven't looked in the mirror yet, otherwise your eyes would be blind.... Even the mirror would break......" Shen Long continued to "insult" Zeng Gui with these insults from Earth. He was sprouting non-sense, and Zeng Gui just looked at him in a confused expression.

Shen Long didn't want to seem like a coward blasting out irrelevant, verbal insults to Zeng Gui was the best he could do at the moment. However, Zeng Gui seemed to be enjoying his insults as he laughed as Shen Long spoke them out. Shen Long got even more frustrated as he seemed even more like a joke at the moment. Shen Long stopped speaking and he tried to calm himself down, to think about the positive sides of this event.

"What if Zuo Qifeng actually doesn't want to fight me? Surely, he knows that I'm a personal disciple and Master favours me a lot! He is definitely allowed to challenge me by rules, but will he? Plus, I will also win a favour from Luo Qingben! When he becomes famous in the future, this will be all worth it..." Shen Long tried to persuade and lie to himself. However, the truth was bloody obvious. The cons clearly outweighed the pros, and Shen Long was well aware.

Didn't know what to do, Shen Long dashed out of the room and left the Justice Department as quickly as possible. Of course, he didn't forget about Zhang Bai who was wandering off, walking in circles.
