Your stupidity killed you!

Qin Li Ai ignored the pain as the branches they ran past scratched her skin leaving bloody red marks behind which made her wince. Holding onto her brothers hands and not looking back. She felt fear rise from within her, the feeling of impending doom loomed over her head as death was beging to find its claws around her fragile neck. The feeling of feat with immense, clogging her breathing pipe obstructing her from being able to find enough air to breath in.

Qin Wu Xie noticed the black look on his sister's face and the same feeling of dread climbed up his stomach. Qin Li Ai swallowed all useless emotions she felt, this feeling of powerlessness. This feelings.....how long had it mean until she last felt them?

"hehe..."

Qin Wu Xie's dread amplified as he looked up to glance at his sister's face, his heart shuddered violent. Such a despicable aura....

Such a malevolent smile a smile that had instantly been drawn in his mind never to shake the omnipotent image his sister carried within his heart.

Qin Li Ai's smile spread.. this feeling of fear was - to her - pure ecstasy!

The shadows that flew towards them were quite a few assassins that chased them. Dammit! she had to help the not so weak old man didn't she?

She swore in heart as she came to a clearing, looking around. She was merely a rank 8, these men were obviously all at a higher rank. They seemed to be at least low stage grand masters, for her to go against such an existence was impossible!

[But before the discovery of cultivation, wasn't it impossible to fly?]

Her thoughts were immediately interrupted by her own thoughts that seemed to race around her head continuously.

She could hear her heart beat.

The voice i her head....was hers. But why....?

"It is still impossible to fly!" she shouted to herself drawing a confused look fro her little brother who couldn't seem to understand what was happening.

The sound of slashing of trees where getting closer and closer and Qin Wu Xie was had a layer of cold sweat on his back. His sister's hand gripped his tightly as she refused to budge facing the direction that the assassins where coming from.

Who told her?

[Who has the authority in all of this realm to tell you what to do?]

Something was suddenly ignited i her heart, a small flame that would soon quickly grow consuming everything in its path without mercy. Her veins throbbed and her smile widened showing her pearly white teeth.

"Who?.....Well obviously no one!"

The modulations of her aura seemed to be out of this world!

The assassins swiftly landed around her circling her like a predator would to their prey. Qin Wu Xie had long since noticed the odd change in his sister's behavior and was utterly convinced that the person holding his hand was a complete stranger.

He was already frozen stiff by fear and she let go of his hands. Taking one step forward she smirked.

"We have come for your life." one assassin said still checking her cultivation level. She was still at least a level 7, she wouldn't be a match for them and the fact that she stepped up could mean two things. She had either resigned to her fate or was willing to fight them with her will to live with strength she obviously didn't have.

"With what power?" Her voice was much more mature, rich.... frightening.

The assassin looked at the haughty child in front of him. Tsk, children of nobility were indeed too overbearing and arrogant for their own good.

"This!" he said as they all launched at the two completely ignoring the odd silence of the forest as they made their move.
