Hold your throat!

This world called itself the Elemental realm.

The elemental realm had four continents with four major cities under it which consisted of; the Blue Sea Continent, the White Flame Continent, the Grey Wind Continent, and Green Spring Continent.

Qin Li Ai sighed, whoever names these continents were unimaginative!

Apparently, in her memories she - Qin Li Ai and her odd little brother Qin Wu Xie were both born in the royale city of the blue sea continent.

The royale city - according to her - was the second most powerful city in the blue sea continent, and it seems to harbour a lot of young talents. A good example was the Qin Family.

The Qin family was said to be an extremely noble family with a long history of martial artists. Every child of the Qin family was gifted or talented in one way, even the pets were at least 2nd grade magical beasts. As you could imagine the birth of Wu Xie and Li Ai didn't bring any joy whatsoever to the family head, the siblings were merely thorns in their sight.

Yet, due to their mother's background as the daughter of a famous immortal they couldn't do anything to the two children, they were treated nicely on the outside but behind closed doors they were mocked and scorned by the other children. Fortunately their mother was there as a pillar of support, no matter how disgraceful they were to the family she was ready to face the world to protect her useless children.

However, their fortune was short lived as soon their mother vanished and left the two children to the cruel hands of their relatives, ignored by their father they were practically orphans and it wasn't long before they were chased down to be assassinated, to mysteriously vanish from the face of the earth like her mother.

But they managed to survive and are now spending their days in peace and quiet near an unknown cave.

Qin Li Ai personally found it strange that they had managed to arrive at this desolate landscape, for two children with no talents to be able to escape the claws of the assassins and survived in a mountain terrain more than likely littered with magical beasts someone, or something must have helped them.

It was unfortunate, but this would have to remain a mystery to Qin Li Ai as she couldn't find anything information on how the two got there, even in the second set of extra memories she had she still couldn't understand. It was a high possibility that the person or thing that had helped them had wiped their memory.

She had questioned Qin Wu Xie about it but the young boy had only given her a confused looked before sprouting a few odd words.

"Don't you remember? You brought us here."

What he said had been so nonsensical that she had dismissed it as an active imagination, after all, there was no way she could have brought him here unless they had teleported or flew.

Non of the two options seemed reliable as this body had no way whatsoever of doing such insane things, the idea on its on was simply absurd, so she thought nothing else of it.

A few months pasted in the blink of an eye and under Qin Li Ai's strict supervision Qin Wu Xie had managed to scramble to th height of a level 2 pure martial warrior.

Qin Li Ai had managed to painfully drag herself to a level 8, in her point of view she was slow but she didn't know what else she could do. The only knowledge she had about cultivating was that you had to meditate, and even her knowledge on meditation techniques was remote and insignificant.

She sighed as she packed the little they had, in those few months they had managed by hunting small game and fishing, but that's couldn't last for long so she had decided that they were going to go in search for civilization so she could make some money and live peacefully with the young boy.

Maybe send him to a school and watch him get old and get married.

Qin Li Ai smiled softly, that didn't seem so bad.

She had planned on killing a few beasts on the way and selling their spirit stones for some money, with her current rank she could at least kill a decent level 7 beast, the money from that should be able to sustain them for at least a few months if they spent it wisely.

She sighed again, this place was vaguely similar to the other life she had lived i her memories but the currency and continents were completely different and they actually had cultivation in this world! She had only assumed that such powers didn't exis and could only be read in books and seen in Chinese dramas.

"Xie'er let's go!" She said as she swung the bag over her shoulder, the little boy ran up to her holding his own little bag with overly excited eyes, with that they began their long journey.

Qin Li Ai planned to be as quick as possible, but they had limited supplies and she wasn't willing or stupid enough to risk being stranded without any food or water.

The journey was harmonious with a few stops on the way to practice their techniques as they hunted some food. Soon enough they came to a path, it was narrow but could easily fit the two of them.

They continued walking for a few hours before Qin Jun Xie noticed someone ahead, "big sister there's an old man up ahead!" He said slightly alarmed as he wasn't sure if it was good news to see people this far into the mountains.

Qin Li Ai looked ahead and her eyes narrowed when she noticed that the man was being attacked by mountain wolves, highly dangerous and deadly.

Qin Li Ai had been prepared to turn a blind eye and ignore the old man but.... Qin Jun Xie was looking at her with eyes full of anticipation and hope. She sighed as she squatted down to his height, if she had to fight a bunch of bone crunching wolves she might as well get him to join so he could gain experience.

"Jun Xie, time to see what you can do."

Mountain wolves were level 2 beasts, good practice for her little brother, besides, she was a bit suspicious of why an old man would appear without an aid in this area. "Big sis is counting on you to save the old man!"

He grinned with slightly red cheeks bursting with energy before dashing off towards the fight. She followed closely cheering him on like a personal cheerleader.

A wolf sniffed him out and attacked him, pouncing quickly hoping to get a bit of the dumpling looking human. But Qin Wu Xie had met his match and unfortunately he had to exert all his strength to beat the wolf. He was tired and worn out by the time he had finally killed it.

"Well done xie'er!" Li Ai raised her voice slightly cheering him, he looked over to his big sister and found us that she had taken out the rest of the wolves and taken out their spirit stones.

He sulked, he was really too weak, he had to get much stronger so his big sister won't have to do this kind of thing!

"Old man, are you ok?" Li Ai asked the old man, he had a ridiculously long beard and long white hair in a pony tail.

"Thank you for your help, I am Feng Chu Wang, it's a pleasure to meet you."

Li Ai was was a bit taken back by how polite he was, she stared a little bit noticing that he had the most interesting pair of small eyes.

"It's ok old man! My big sister is super strong so it wasn't as problem!" Qin Wu Xie replied in smiles. Li Ai couldn't help but blush a bit, she definitely didn't regret having such a person as her little brother.

"Your sister is really strong, unfortunately I'm not as strong. Would you mind accompanying me to the next city? The sapphire kingdom shouldn't be far from here."

Sapphire kingdom was the most powerful city in the blue sea continent, not normal people could live there, only people with really high cultivation.

Li Ai smirked, this man really wasn't simple.

Li Ai was silent for a while, "I'll pay for your protection."

Those words wiped every ounce of doubt off her mind.

"Sure! We'll protect you right Wu Xie?"

At the mention of money she really didn't mind at all! The question was how much would he pay?

"Un!" He said nodded his head, the old man's purple eyes gleamed in laughter.

"So Old man Feng, what brings you here?"

"I just came to attain a priceless object, I'm going home now."

As priceless object? That has danger written all over it.

But he was paying them.....

"Ok old man, my brother and I will make sure you get home safely."

Why didn't she hold her throat and look away from the money?

She’s definitely going to be a greedy person.

Hold your throat - in my culture when you are greedy they tell you to hold your troath or not to have a long throat.
