Exploring the cave of millenniums

Qin Li Ai opened her eyes sharply, panting and agitated, her back soaked with sweat and her heart beating viciously her body shook uncontrollably like she was having a kind of withdrawal.

"Jie Jie!" She snapped out of her trance to see the beautiful smiling face of her cute little brother who hugged her, she smiled and hugged him back enjoy the warmth despite the coldness tugging at her heart.

As she opened her eyes she saw a cute little girl with lucious black hair that seemed oddly similar to dreadlocks but not quite the same.

"She is..?" She asked her brother who seemed to just noticed.

"This is Mohua! She lived in this cave before we fell through!" He said excitedly introducing his new friend who blush slightly as she bowed her head slightly.

"Nice to meet you big sister" Qin Like Ai smiled bowing as well, she's such a good mannered child. But why was she in such a place?

"Nice to meet you too Mohua, do you know where exactly we are?"

She nodded her head like a good little girl, "I remember aunty saying that this was the cave of millenniums! She says it's a very old cave."

Thinking silently to herself for a while she decided that they would recuparate here before leaving.

"Jie Jie...." She focused on her brother who's head was down "... Old man Feng..."

Old man Feng was dead.

She hugged him again as she felt his tears make her shirt wet, "it's ok..." she patted his back slowly hoping to console him "you can make him proud as a pure martial artist ok?" Feeling his nodded head on her chest she held him tight, they only had each other to cry to and no one else.

"Mohua is there anywhere we could get anything to eat?" She asked the little girl who stared at them curiously like she wasn't used to seeing such vulnerability.

"I think there's a river a bit deeper in, I'm not sure if it's still there though"

Not sure if it's still there? It's not that easy for a river to disappear in a few years... Maybe after a few decades but this little kid couldn't be that old.

Carrying her little boy in her arms she stood up and allowed the little girl to lead them through beautiful cave that seemed to be frozen in time.

At some point water started to drip from the roof of the cave and so she suspected they were under a body of water which would explain the cave's water supply.

They soon came across the gushing river and she smiled hoping there would be some seafood for her to take advantage of.

They rested there for a few days and she guided her brother with cultivating again, Mohua didn't seem interested in cultivating but instead spent her time playing in the river.

They spent the those fee days leisurely ignoring the commotion of the outside world. The Feng family were furious at the death of the patriarch with the current head searching furiously for those in charge of his death.

First he lost his fiance now his grandfather. He slammed his fist at the table as it cracked before falling to pieces.

He was fucking useless.

 " Bo Jing..." He didn't pay attention to the sweet voice that called his name but instead focused on venting his anger.

The Qin family's second Miss was an unrivaled beauty, even compared to Qin Li Ai, one smile from her could wake the old gods from slumber, her beauty was yet to be paralleled and someone like Qin Li Ai could not beat her know terms of supporters or beauty.

Even if she didn't have power the men after her did, even the Emperor had praised her as the most beautiful woman in the world.

Such a woman, if Bo Jing was such an intelligent man then why wouldn't he take her? She obviously admired him to the depths of her heart, she loved him so much she would kill for his sake or even give up everything to be with him.

Yet he turned a blind eye to her, if you were her wouldn't it hurt?

She clenched her fists forcing tears back, it wasn't fair, she worked hard consistently to be where she was for his sake, yet he could only think of a girl who wouldn't be on par with him.

Was he a fool?

In a world like this where power and backing was everything was there really any place for love?

If Qin Like Ai found someone better than him she would leave him, if she was still alive.
