Two days later...
"When the hell will she come out of the hospital? My men have been waiting for the past five hours and there is no sight of that woman," Zach ranted as soon as Hazel picked the call.
Hazel rubbed the middle of her brow and sighed, "She will be out soon, I guess."
Honestly, she had no idea when Melanie will walk out of the hospital, but because she had seen her going home each day for the past two days obviously because of her condition, she believed that was going to happen today too. Now that she couldn't wait to make Melanie suffer any longer, that woman is refusing to come out of the damn hospital.
"You guess?" Hazel heard Zach whisper sarcastically.
"Yes," Hazel frowned hard.
She hated the fact that she was relying on Zach Tordoff to make her plan a success. It's just that ever since Zach had given her the advice to flee with Flynn's money six years ago, she had always been telling him everything she was up to.
Ugh, Zach helping her flee with Flynn's money years back was a story for another day.
"You should be ready over there. She will be out of the hospital soon," Hazel said and ended the call.
She sat impatiently in the car she had just purchased. A non-registered car.
Meanwhile…
"Sister-in-law, it's time to go home," Kyle said to Melanie who was focused on wiping Flynn's skin with a wet towel.
"Elle is not back yet."
Elle had followed Tyler home an hour before.
"I've called her, and she said she is going to join you at home. You should get going," Kyle answered and Melanie frowned her face.
"I'm still busy."
"I see. Hurry up, it's getting late," Kyle said and Melanie glared at him as she dipped the towel in the warm water.
"Honestly, I don't feel like going home," Melanie mumbled as she cleaned Flynn's body.
"You are going home, sis," Kyle groaned and Melanie shook her head.
"I will make sure to tell Flynn about how every one of you treated me while he was unconscious," Melanie pouted.
"Please do so that I will be able to stick my tongue out at you as he commend me," Kyle smiled and Melanie hissed.
"You don't know me, I will make him commend me and condemn you," Melanie sneered.
"He is your husband after all. So, while we are at it, stand up and let's go home," Kyle smirked.
"Kyle…" Melanie whined.
"Stand up. It is my brother that falls for that pitiful look, not me."
"That's why you are still single," Melanie sneered.
"You can say that again, sister-in-law," Kyle bowed slightly and gestured to Melanie to stand up.
After a few minutes, Melanie stood up grudgingly, bid Devon goodbye then leaned to hug her husband gently.
Kyle allowed her to remain in that position for over two minutes and when he couldn't take it any longer, he pulled her away gently from Flynn and grabbed her wrist.
"Let's go," he muttered as he pulled her gently out of the ward.
Kyle did not even try to look at his brother's wife that was walking grudgingly and murmuring something only God knows what.
The driver was already waiting beside the car outside the hospital when he saw Kyle and Harlan approaching, he bowed and opened the door of the car for his boss' wife to enter.
"Drive gently,'' Kyle said to the driver as soon as he helped Melanie enter the car.
"Trust me to do a better job," the driver bowed.
Kyle nodded his head and waved at Melanie through the heavily tinted window.
He had a feeling that his sister-in-law was glaring very hard at him, so he waved even though he couldn't see her face and smiled.
He watched the car drive away before he turned to walk back inside the hospital.

Hazel smiled victoriously as she watched Kyle walk back inside the hospital, she started the car and waited for the car that was in front of her which Zach's men had occupied to start driving which happened almost immediately. Hazel followed behind gently and while she was driving, she dialed Zach's number.
"My men said they are following the car that Melanie is already," Zach said as soon as he picked the call which Hazel couldn't help but roll her eyes.
"Tell your men to be extremely careful. All of Harlan's men are much trained. No room for mistakes please.''
"Are you trying to insult me?" Zach coughed.
"No, I am just telling you," with that Hazel ended the call and started to imagine the angry look on Zach's face.

The driver that was driving Melanie, Mark had already noticed that they were being trailed.
"Please ma'am, fasten your seat belt," Mark said hurriedly.
"Huh?" Melanie creased her brow as she held the seat belt.
Mark stepped on the gas and as soon as he reached a U-turn, he turned swiftly that Melanie fell on the car seat.
"What is going on?!" Melanie frowned her face as she removed the hair that fell over her face.
"I'm sorry, ma'am. I think we are being followed. Please, fasten your seat belt, I'll be driving roughly till I manage to lose them," Mark explained and watched the car almost getting to where they were through the front mirror.
"Okay, step on it, please," Melanie panicked as she fasten her seat belt.
She glanced backward and saw the car driving roughly towards them. She breathed in fearfully as she fondled her hands.
"You will be fine, ma'am. I will protect you with my last breath," Mark said as he turn sharply.
He looked through the mirror and didn't notice the car behind them. "I think we lose them," he murmured.
Melanie nodded her head as she bit her nails fearfully.
Mark inhaled deeply after he was assured that he lost the car trailing them. But as soon as he wanted to turn the car, a black Lexus car suddenly stopped in front of him, he pressed the brake pedal hardly to avoid bumping into the car that stopped driving ahead of them. The car stopped abruptly and he hit his head on the steering and Melanie also hit her head on the car seat hard.
Mark raised his head and saw four heavily built men coming out of the car and he glanced at Melanie who refused to raise her head.
"Ma'am, don't get out of the car and don't open the door for anybody till I arrive," Melanie heard the driver said and she raised her head hurriedly.
"What are you trying to do?!" Melanie half yelled as she looked at the men that were walking towards their car.
"I will be back soon, lock the door once I step out," Marl said and wore hand gloves in his hands then opened the door.
Melanie shook her head as soon as Mark got out of the car and she hurriedly locked the door as he had instructed.
She started to cry as she searched for her phone that seem to have fallen.
Why was this happening again?
Who the hell was after them?
She glanced at Mark that was throwing punches at the men against him and was losing already. Melanie gasped as she saw a man throw a hard punch on Mark's face and another at his face. She covered her mouth to stop herself from crying out loud.
Then, one of the men started to walk towards the car that Melanie was in which made Melanie freeze for a moment, she searched for her phone hurriedly and after a few seconds, she found it lying on the floor in the car but by then, the man had already reached where their car was.
However, as she tried to dial Kyle's number, she saw Mark trying to free himself from the three men wanting to save her. She wished she could unsee what she just saw as the knife pierced through Mark's stomach.
She screamed in horror and her phone fell from her hand and the man banged on the glass.
Meanwhile…
"Sister-in-law! Lanie! Can you hear me! What the hell is going on?! Melanie!" Kyle screamed.
"Devon, try mark's number. Something is going on!" Kyle shouted and Devon removed his phone from his pocket hurriedly and tried Mark's number that kept ringing.
"H…he's not picking his call," Devon shook his head.

Melanie bit her lips nervously, crying profusely as she watched the man come back with a hammer. She shook her head as the man began to hit the glass with the hammer.
After much banging, the glass finally cracked. The man dropped the hammer and walked away. Melanie breathed out but as soon as she saw the man coming back with big iron, she held her breath again.
She glanced at Mark that was already lying in his own pool of blood and couldn't help but think if that was how she was going to end her life too.
"Hi." Melanie froze as she heard a deep voice, she glanced at the window that was already broken and the only thing needed was just for the man to dip his hand inside to open the door.
"You must have played a lot of hide and seek as a child," the man grinned and dipped his hand in the car.
"Ta-da," he smirked then opened the door.
"Don't come near me!" Melanie gritted her teeth, she opened the door from the other side and hurried out of the car.
"Ah… this b!tch, I don't like playing hide and seek," the man shook his head and came out of the car slowly.
Melanie hadn't taken five steps before another man catch up with her.
"Where are you running to, angel?''
Melanie felt her blood drain as she looked into the man's eyes.
There was a huge scar on the left side of his face which made him very intimidating.
Another man walked towards them and handed a white kerchief to the man with a scar who gave Melanie a very scary smile.
Before Melanie could say anything, she felt the handkerchief on her nose. As she inhaled it, her eyes fell on Mark and she silently wished him a peaceful rest as she fell into oblivion.
