Season Two: Chapter Thirty One

They sit for over an hour by the pond in the garden, watching the children and Mike play and soaking up the last rays of sunlight as the day comes to a close, after the children are satisfied with the playground, the wooden merry-go-round, and the famous puppet show.

Once in a while, they let out a small laugh when they saw the children and Mike laughing so hard as they did funny and silly things. Then, smiling in content, Alex rests her head on her husband's shoulder, and the man circles his arm over her waist, also resting his head on hers. Smiling, Adrian plants a soft kiss on the crown of his wife's head. Then, accidentally, he sees something that makes his eyes widen and his brows furrow.

"Really?" He mutters.

"Huh?" Alex lifts her head and glances at him. Then she follows where her husband's eyes are. "Why?" She lifts her brows as well.
