"Come here and let me put my dickery to good use, babe."

"I do not want to!" Lia said as she turned her face away from Chase, but she had nowhere else to go, for real; she was stuck between him and the couch's arm. "I am still mad at you!" she complained when she felt his hand grab her chin. "Let go of me!"

But the man did not let go of her. He instead wrapped his arms roughly and tightly around her and planted the biggest, loudest, and sloppiest kiss on her cheek, before declaring in her ear, "And you will always be the most adorable puppy in the world to me."

"Tch, you don't have to lie to me. I am not an idiot," Lia said, unable to push the man off of her.

His hold on her did not waver, although he looked surprised. "Are you really serious? You look serious..."
