"As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm glow over the forest, where Creo and his friends have gathered and tension had crackled in the air." The Narrator elaborated.
"The faint rustle of leaves and the distant hum of the city provided a backdrop for the group's whispered conversations and the clinking weapons being readied." The Narrator uttered in suspense.
"I hear incoming voices from afar." Bookkeeper said as he held his book.
"Who knows, it could be some CHESS operatives." Athena replied.
"If it is, then we best be prepared this time, we already failed twice, we can't fail trice." Creo remarked.
"Creo, with his brow furrowed in determination, gestured for his friends to take their positions as they have waited for Bishop and Knight to arrive." The Narrator stated.
"Athena, with her senses on high alert, crouched behind a tree with her eyes darting from shadow to shadow." The Narrator explained.
"The Bookkeeper could not help but adjust his tie nervously with a sheen of sweat glistening on his forehead." The Narrator continued.
"With Zion Kishima and Zino stood side by side, silent but ready for action." The Narrator concluded.
"Finally, the sound of approaching footsteps echoed down the alley, heralding the arrival of their targets." The Narrator continued with suspense.
"Bishop and Knight arrive walking down the path as their expressions transitioned from having smug confidence to shock as they had found themselves surrounded by the presence of Creo and his determined comrades." The Narrator said in shock.
"What foolishness is this? You dare try to ambush us, King of Elderith?" Bishop said as he attempted to mask his shock with bravado.
"We are here for justice. Your reign of tyranny ends today. It's time for you and CHESS to answer for your crimes!" Creo said in a calm but resoluting voice as he stepped forward and giving out an unwavering gaze towards them.
"You'll regret this, King of Elderith! Our forces-" Knight said with his hand inching his weapon, started to protest towards Creo.
"But before Knight could even begin to finish his threat, Athena swiftly disarmed him with a precise move and the Bookkeeper bound Knight's arms behind his back by casting a spell using his magic book."
"Darn, I hate sorcerers..." Knight mumbled to himself.
"Creo proceeds to waste no time and produced a telegram form, quickly scribbling a message with his steady hands." The Narrator stated.
"We have a proposition for you." Creo declared in a firm tone.
"I hope this telegram message has reached towards you, deliver us the crystal nearby the bridge to Arcanus if you ever want to see your dear officers again." Creo finished.
The message on the telegram read:
"Meet us nearby the bridge to Arcanus, exactly by midnight, Bring the Aethereal Dreamstone Crystal if you value your dear precious officers."
"With a mixture of defiance and grudging respect in their eyes, Bishop and Knight could only watch helplessly as Creo handed the telegram back to Knight, who clenched his jaw in frustration as he and Bishop were left bound, their fate now hanging in balance." The Narrator stated.
"Meanwhile from afar, Nightshade saw what had happened and left immediately and went back to the steampunk aircraft to wait for backup CHESS operatives." The Narrator said.
"So they're planning to blackmail us, huh?" Nightshade thought to himself.
"I might as well wait for the others, I don't want to go commit the same mistake I did once." Nightshade said to himself.
"A few hours later, another CHESS steampunk airship arrived and it was the grandest of all the steampunk airships that the CHESS organization ever had." The Narrator said in awe.
"On the ship were the leaders King and Queen, with Rook serving as their assistant officer, they arrived shortly to the area." The Narrator said.
"Well it looks like Knight and Bishop had got themselves into a pickle didn't they?" Rook said sarcastically as he went down.
"I already warned them but they just didn't listen, their arrogance and pride got the better of them." Rook continued, laughing sarcastically.
"That king of Eldoria really wants to get his hands on the crystal, doesn't he?" Queen said as she looked from afar.
"Indeed he does, Queen. But we are not going to let him get it just so easily." King said.
"Oh no, no, no. Things in life must be earned through hard work and I want Creo to suffer the same hard work we have encountered." King continued as he held the crystal in his hand.
"Should I set a course to the bridge of Arcanus?" Nightshade asked to King, waiting for his response.
"Indeed set a course, that King of Elderith will have no idea what is coming for him." King said as he smiled mischievously.
"Meanwhile Creo and his group travelled all the way to the bridge of Arcanus where they have Knight and Bishop ready and are waiting for the other CHESS members to arrive." The Narrator said.
"You know Creo, I guess it wouldn't hurt to ask the leader of the kingdom Arcanus as a back up resort in case things go south?" Athena asked Creo, waiting for his response.
"Honestly Athena, I did think of that earlier but I don't want to involve the leader of Arcanus into this mess, the leader probably has other things to deal with, plus it's not a matter for other kingdoms to deal with." Creo replied.
"Although it wouldn't quite hurt to ask for a little back up nonetheless." Creo said.
"That's the Creo I was looking for." Athena said sarcastically as she prepared her blade.
"So Creo, what are you going to actually do once you have the Aethereal Dreamstone Crystal?" Athena asked as she sat down.
"What do you mean by that Athena?" Creo asked waiting for her response.
"Like I'm sure you have something else in plan for using the crystal other than just saving the world." Athena said.
"I'm not really sure but once I have the crystal I'll come up with my decision." Creo replied.
"That's interesting I guess." Athena said.
"Well I hope you don't mind but I'll take your decision in talking with the leader of the Arcanus kingdom." Creo remarked.
"Ok then, do you want me to accompany you, Your Highness?" Athena said sarcastically.
"Ha ha, ok I guess it wouldn't hurt to have extra security." Creo chuckled but not before letting a smile.
"Watch over these guys by the way, me and Athena are just going to ask the leader of Arcanus, if we could request backup for the confrontation against the CHESS organization." Creo asked towards his friends.
"The rest of them nod in agreement and Creo and Athena headed towards the kingdom of Arcanus."
"With Creo and his group in possession of two CHESS officers and the CHESS organization coming in hot, confronting them face to face, each moment starts to become thrilling and suspenseful than the last." The Narrator said.
"Which side will ultimately become the victor, more will happen sooner or later." The Narrator said as he ended the chapter in a suspenseful manner.
