CHAPTER 47: The demon and the angel.

Enraged Sirin looked up at the creature. No mater how amazing this thing was, who gave it the audacity to break one of his horns?

Sirin charged at the thing and managed to scratch out one of the many eyes before he dashed back.

The creature cried out in pain as its golden blood tainted the floor, and in response all the machinery in the room shone brighter for a few seconds, revealing the connection between this creature and the energy source.

Then the creature enforced a counterattack. A sea of surreal forms neared him. They trampled over me like a heard of horses. The sharp forms of these masses cut through the bone growth on his chest elbows and back like a knife trough paper. There were so many that for a while Sirin thought that it was never going to stop.

When the attack finally stopped, he saw the ting gasping for breath. Yes, he had countless deep wounds, but this 'angel' wasn't much better off.

Seeing how Sirin was still standing the thing pulled itself together and shrieked again, what caused some of the machinery to explode next to Sirin.

In turn Sirin changed into a flame demon and set the creature ablaze.

Whilst burning the fallen angel rushed towards him and tried to strike him with its many sharp feathers.

In this form Sirin didn't have the bone armour, only some scales so he was left with a deep wound in his chest.

As the creature hesitated after delivering the strike Sirin changed into a Naga and bit the wing of the angel to push in as much venom as possible.

"How?!" The fallen angel cried. "How can such an abomination like you take a step in the divine? This insult to the creator shouldn't exist!"

As the venom started to spread trough its veins it released a much higher shriek. This time it took down the entire roof along with the walls.

Now out in the open the angel and demon were fighting.

As time passed and the venom took more effect Sirin slowly gained the upper hand. Yet he had to resort to using magic to block the angel's attacks.

With trial and error, he had figured out that if he attacked with magic, it would cause less damage then if he used an elemental or physical attack.

Eventually he had brough the angel to its knees. Since the both of them were severely wounded it was only Sirin's advantage on magic that would allow him to deliver the final blow instead of collapsing next to the angel.

Since he wanted to make sure that everything in the vicinity knew he had won, he wanted to make the final attack a powerful one. It did not really matter that it would take some time, the angel was almost completely paralysed after all.

"What the hell are you?" It still managed to ask. "A fragment of a seal? A creator fragment? Why? I just wanted to know everything, to experience the worlds unbound by the creator. What is wrong with that? What is wrong with wanting that? What should I have done?"

At that point Sirin was done preparing the final attack. A circle of light opened up from underneath the angel. Then black flames busted out of the circle and painted the sky a dark purple. From the darkness countless black, smoke like tentacles entangled the angel and slowly started to melt trough its skin, ripping the limbs apart whilst doing so.

The only thing that could be clearly seen trough the smoke were the bright blue eyes of Sirin glowing trough the darkness.

Once the angel died, much like the demons when they lost their lives outside of hell, its soul disappeared.

But Sirin didn't really care this time.

He grabbed the dismembered head of the angel and unfolded his wings. Then he took to the skies, triumphantly held the angels head above his and roared as loudly as possible.

From there he could see how multiple humans down below started to vomit the strange, coloured blood, seemingly incapable of leaching off the angel's power now that it had completely lost its connection to this world.

At the same time most of the containers in which the blue fluid was stored to power the machinery.

After that point it was pretty easy for Sirin's companions to take over the outpost. He would have loved to go down there and help them, though it was mainly to claim souls. However, he couldn't.

His wounds were so severe that he wasn't as confident in fighting at this point, even if it was against a human. It would be better if he were to just return to the broken-down room and focus on healing.

As he sat there, looking at the gunfire down below and listening to the explosions inside the building he softly chuckled.

The fallen angel had wondered if he were a creator fragment. He was fairly sure that he wasn't one.

After all, that would make him a higher being. But the system that needed a higher being's presence to fully unlock hadn't done so.

Yet he couldn't help but wonder what these fragments looked like, or what they were in essence. The way the angel spoke made the creator seem bad. So, were the fragments evil as well? Then what about the system?

My dudes, please take a look at the comments. creepypasta_and_horses_fanart on Instagram drew Sirin as a horse and I’m so happy and proud.
