Creating My Own Army (on hold)

[Current World: Naruto] This story takes place in an alternate universe (AU) of Earth, where kingdoms still exist. The main character (MC) is the youngest war general due to a conflict with a more powerful kingdom. After dying in battle, the MC is offered a unique opportunity: a job that involves fighting monsters and armies. This position comes with two options—if they accept, they will gain power by going through trials; otherwise, they can choose to ascend to heaven or be reincarnated into their original world once again 1. Please note, this is not a harem story. I attempted to create one in my first fanfiction but struggled to find a plausible way to introduce such dynamics. Additionally, after reading numerous harem stories, while I don’t dislike the concept itself, the justifications provided in those narratives often felt contrived and unconvincing—for example, "He’s so strong, I need sisters," or "He’s the last of his clan, so he needs multiple wives." These reasons simply didn't resonate with me. Therefore, if romance becomes part of this story, it will feature a single pairing rather than a harem setup. Disclaimer: I do not own the Naruto world or any of its characters. My story only includes an original character (OC). Furthermore, I do not claim ownership of the cover picture used for this work. If the rightful owner wishes for it to be removed, please contact me.

Meeting an Old Man(Fixed)

The Sage broke the silence first: "Hello, young one. I am the Sage of the Six Paths. May I ask how you came to possess these eyes and this power?"

Ajamu smirked confidently. "The Sage of the Six Paths, huh? Are you trying to act tough, old man? You're just a wandering chakra traveling through time. As for your question—the answer is none of your business."

The Sage was visibly insulted but knew he couldn't retaliate directly. Instead, he tried a diplomatic approach: "Young one, great danger accompanies such power. I'm here to help you."

Ajamu's smirk softened into a knowing smile. 'He must mean Kaguya attempting to revive herself by taking over my body.' "I know exactly what I've signed up for, old man. And as for your help… well, there is one way you can assist me." Without hesitation, Ajamu activated the Preta Path ability, reaching out to absorb the Sage's essence—after all, the Sage was nothing more than pure chakra.

Sensing Ajamu's intent, the Sage attempted to escape, but who was he dealing with? With the combined might of the Rinnegan, Tenseigan, and Sharingan at his disposal, there was no chance of evasion. Absorbing the Sage further amplified Ajamu's soul, enhanced his Sage Mode, and strengthened his Yin-Yang Release. A third eye emerged on his forehead, bearing yet another Rinne Sharingan.

The influx of power sent Ajamu into a brief daze. After stabilizing himself a few minutes later, he extended his senses toward where Zetsu and Obito had fled. It seemed they'd sensed his overwhelming presence in the village and decided to retreat. Obito escaped into his dimensional space, while Zetsu burrowed underground. Ajamu focused his hand in Zetsu's direction and activated Universal Pull , forming a Truth-Seeking Ball into a spear as he waited.

Seconds later, a black, humanoid shadow erupted from the ground, only to be caught by the neck in Ajamu's iron grip.

Zetsu struggled desperately, his voice strained: "Who... are you...? Let me go... I could... lead you... to the path... of power..."

Ajamu sneered coldly: "Sweet words of deceit won't work on me, trash. I know who—and what —you are. Kaguya has no place here. Die." With that, he drove the spear through Zetsu, ending his existence once and for all.

As for Obito, he remained hidden within his dimensional pocket. While Ajamu could deal with him now, he deemed it unnecessary. For now, Obito's corpse would suffice for Madara's revival plans. Satisfied, Ajamu deactivated his Sage Mode and closed his third eye, though he kept his other two active.

He summoned the rest of his shadows to where Pain's bodies lay scattered and teleported there. Upon arrival, he found Konan still weeping over Nagato's lifeless form. Approaching silently, she eventually sensed his presence and turned around, ready to fight—but froze upon seeing his eyes. Ajamu glanced at Nagato's corpse and commanded simply: "Rise."

Behind her, a healthy, youthful shadow clone of Nagato rose, kneeling respectfully. "My lord, I heed the call."

Konan snapped out of her stupor, turning back to see Nagato alive and well—but how? His dead body still lay before her. Confused and overwhelmed, she stumbled backward, clutching her head in disbelief. "This… this has to be genjutsu! It can't be real!"

Deciding not to waste time arguing, Ajamu addressed the newly revived Nagato. Naming him "Pain," he instructed Miko and the remaining shadows to follow him as they prepared to leave. Testing his newfound flight capabilities, Ajamu took off without waiting. However, he noticed Nagato glancing back at Konan out of the corner of his eye.

Sighing, Ajamu stopped mid-air and turned to face him. "Go talk to her. We'll wait outside when you're done." Nagato looked startled that Ajamu had noticed but quickly bowed in gratitude before returning to Konan.

Outside, Ajamu listened as Konan alternated between crying, shouting denials like "You're not real!" and "It can't be!" Eventually, the commotion subsided into silence. Twenty minutes later, the pair emerged hand in hand. Konan stepped forward determinedly. "I wish to go with him," she declared.

Nagato looked shocked, calling her name softly. She met both their gazes with unwavering resolve.

Ajamu sighed again. "Sorry, but despite your unique Paper Style, it lacks the potential I require to add you to my shadows." Her expression fell, and she seemed about to protest, but Ajamu cut her off. "However, I don't mind you joining our clan as a family member of one of us. You two can stay together until I leave this world. After that, we'll see."

A flicker of hope returned to her eyes.

Nagato didn't ask Ajamu to revive his fallen friend Yahiko, which pleased Ajamu—had he requested it, it might have signaled future disobedience among his shadows. Recognizing the bond between Konan and Yahiko, Ajamu extended his hand toward Yahiko's corpse, still lying where the battle against the Six Paths had taken place. Activating Universal Pull , he brought the body floating into view and gently laid it on the ground. Summoning the Outer Path's King of Hell statue, he restored Yahiko's soul to his repaired body.

Both Konan and Nagato watched in stunned silence as Yahiko opened his eyes, disoriented. Before he could fully process his surroundings, Konan dashed forward, embracing him tightly and sobbing uncontrollably.

Turning to the group, Ajamu announced: "I plan to fly back to the village. The three of you can find your own way—though I assume flying won't be an issue for any of you. Miko and Pain, bring them along once they're ready."

They nodded, and Ajamu took to the skies once more, reveling in the sensation of flight. His journey back to the Uchiha compound was peaceful—that is, until the system chimed in with another alert.

[ALERT: SUMMONING REQUEST RECEIVED]'Here we go again,' Ajamu thought wryly.
