At that moment Mia didn't hesitate. She stepped forward, her gun aimed with precision, her voice commanding.
"On your knees. All of you. Hands where we can see them."
The suited men exchanged glances, subtle smirks playing on some of their faces. They weren't scared—at least not yet. The boss chuckled lowly, his attention shifting from the old man to Kai. "And who might you be?" he asked, his voice dripping with mockery. "You think you can walk in here and change the rules?"
Kai's expression was stone cold, his grip on his weapon steady. "I said freeze. Don't make me repeat myself."
The tension in the room thickened as the men assessed their options. At that moment the boss raised his hands slowly, the smirk never leaving his face. "Alright, officers," he said, his voice laced with false compliance.
"Let's not make this messier than it needs to be."
