42. Defeating a spirit Grandmaster lizardman

Silas has never faced a grandmaster level creature on his own before. Normally Juliet would be by his side to help him in case they encounter a dangerous creature.

Although it was dangerous, Silas was smiling as of this moment.

'What is this feeling of excitement? Just getting into a dangerous situation and putting my life on the line, it's like I'm back in my assassin years... But this is a game, so no death!' Silas gripped his sword and dashed towards the forest and a large lizard man rushed out of it with two curved blades.

Silas smiled as he brandished his sword and then he made a zigzag movement before the creature and then he struck at it with its sword.

The creature dodged the attack easily and began to attack him even more violently. It swung its blades at different angles and Silas was getting a bit fatigued as he dodged constantly.

He jumped back and then kicked one of the blades away from the creatures hand.

All of a sudden, three people appeared from the side and Silas saw the people he raided the dungeon with coming to help.

"Don't think you'll have all the fun!" Prince shouted as he waved his broad sword which was now on bright coloured flames.

The lizardman blocked it and then he kicked prince away, making him puke out blood. Lara and Silver went at it with all they got and they employed their techniques.

Lara herself became like a flash of light and Silver stepped on the ground hard before boosting towards the creature.

The place he stepped on before was now covered in ice and then Silas followed them too as he went towards the creature and suddenly vanished.

The lizard man looked all around and then it waved it's hand, making a thick wall of earth raise up from the ground and then as the three of them clashed against it, it suddenly blasted the walls away and ran towards Silas first.

Silas furrowed his brows as he got ready and then he noticed that the Lizard man boss was now faster.

'Whatever, I'll just have to use that.' Silas dashed towards it before pulling out the nether from within him.

He was suddenly covered in a bright red aura which made the surrounding people freeze as they felt this energy.

The creature had no fear and it's weapon even extended, producing a chain which was swung at him.

Silas knocked the weapon away and he had a wide smile on his face as he vanished from his position.

The creature growled loudly as it put its sword in front of its body which blocked an incoming impact.

Silas smiled as he appeared and he vanished again, striking the creature from different angles while putting his all into his strikes.

'The boss is formidable, it can take the full power of my attacks. Plus, the nether is restoring my chi as I fight.' Silas gazed down at his palm to see the cube shaped item and he smiled as he charged forward again.

He knocked the sword out of the creature's hand, making him growl as it swung its claws towards Silas.

Silas put down his sword and then he got into a boxing stance. He kept dodging fhe creatures violent and frenzied claw strikes and he punched the creature in the face, blinding it for a bit.

It opened its eyes to see a leg coming towards its face and he kicked it again, pushing it back.

The lizard man roared loudly as he was then covered in an orange coloured aura as it let out a loud roar.

Silas quickly went back to hold his sword.

"Well, let's end this shall we?" He mumbled before he dashed at the creature.

It was way faster than him though, but he was able to track its movements. As it got close to him he got into a stance to perform his technique.

As the creature got close, all of time froze and he vanished from his position and sliced the neck of the creature.

*BOOM!!*

"Ah..." Silver was surprised as he didn't see when Silas moved from this side to the other side of the creature.

They were even more shocked to see the creature's head fall off and blood spurting out of the neck.

One has to understand that this was a grandmaster level creature. They were extremely tough to kill cause their skin were strong. One needed a very strong weapon to do what Silas did.

Silas sheathed his blade and then he looked back at them with a smile and the nether entered into his body again.

"I guess that's all of them," Silas said as he walked towards them with a calm expression and Prince was staring at a screen.

"Ah..." Prince was shocked and Lara along with Silver gazed at him and they all went to him and they were all shocked.

"Bro... You're amongst the top 100 players already... In the entire world..." Silver didn't even know what to even say.

They had been playing with a top 100 player this entire time?!

"Really? Top 100 players...?" Silas opened up his interface and checked the rankings... Indeed, he was amongst the top 100 players in the world.

'Rank number 77... Number one would be nice though. This number one player... Silver fang, he's the one currently in second heaven right now. He also got a demon grade weapon a while ago.' Silas nodded as he squinted his brows.

He had set his sights on that number one position from today. He normally didn't check the leaderboards, but now that he did, he must climb to be the strongest.

"Wait... If you're the Silas that has been on the achievement board, then that means your weapon is an immortal grade one?" Prince figured out and then the other two beside him were stunned and they all gazed at his weapon.

"Seriously, how did you do it?" Silver knelt down and smiled bitterly and Silas only scratched the back of his head.

"I got lucky with meeting a very powerful NPC. Connection is important in this world, but also power. As long as you can prove your strength, everything you want will come," Silas said with a smile.
