Silas came out of the boathouse, wearing a gray shirt that wasn't too clean and black pants in the same condition.
These were clothes he found in the boat to replace his prison uniform. He walked over to the water and scooped a bit before washing his face.
'I can't even get a proper bath. I need to make plans to get a new apartment,' Silas thought with a sigh. Sierra soon came out of the boat.
She wore high-waisted black jeans and a yellow crop top. The clothes she took were much cleaner than his by far.
"You're driving. Let's first head to the bank," Silas said, and then Sierra hopped on the soundless motorcycle.
"So, which bank do you want to go to?"
"Sky Bank," Silas replied, and Sierra nodded before driving off.
It took a little more than ten minutes to reach the first branch of Sky Bank, and Silas hopped off the bike.
"I want to get my account retrieved and get a new card. Hold on for a bit," he said, going into the bank.
Sierra's blue eyes darted around the surroundings. She looked at the people that were all walking about.
A few guys couldn't help but wave at her, and she only frowned at them, making them leave.
"Hm, how long have I been in prison? Six months, or was it a year?" Sierra pondered.
"Well, I'm definitely not going back," she said and then proceeded to wait.
The prison was no safe place for a person. People often die or get seriously traumatized or injured in prison.
It took over thirty minutes for Silas to finally come out, and he smiled as he showed her the card.
"What happened in there? You took so long." She pouted as she frowned at him.
"Well, verifying my identity and stuff. Let's head over to a convenience store," he said, and they both left the bank.
They got new clothes to wear, which Silas paid for, and Sierra couldn't help but wonder if he was rich as well.
After all that, they made their way to his workplace, which was another branch of Sky Bank. This one was much bigger than all the other ones they passed on their way here.
"This is where I work. It might get boring watching me work, though," Silas said, and Sierra was shocked.
"You work at this bank?! So you're like an accountant?" she asked, and Silas only grinned mischievously.
They went inside, and he went over to greet the receptionist while Sierra only stood there, looking around.
"Hey," Silas smiled at the receptionist, and she was shocked to see him.
She had braided black hair with silver ornaments and fair skin that was well taken care of. Her transparent glasses added to her charm, and her red lipstick gave her an extra beauty boost.
"Ah, where have you been? You've been gone for five days," she said to him, and Silas only chuckled, scratching the back of his head.
"It's complicated," Silas said to her.
"Well, you're lucky. The boss didn't allow another person to fill in for you, and the other cleaners took the initiative to do it," she said to him with a warm smile.
"Hm? Is that your girlfriend?" the lady asked with a chuckle, and Silas shook his head.
"I met her a while ago. I'm gonna put her to work," Silas smirked and walked back to Sierra.
'Damn, such a handsome man. Rather than being a normal cleaner, he could even date those rich women. This work doesn't suit him at all,' the lady thought but then shrugged as she continued her work on her computer.
...
Silas climbed the stairs, heading toward the first floor.
"Ah, Las, where have you been?" a friendly man in a suit asked him.
"I've been sick, so I stayed home for a while," he said to the man.
"Well, you're better now, I see. Have a good day."
"You too."
This scenario didn't stop here, as many others greeted Silas the same way. Then they arrived at a separate room on the first floor.
There were lockers all around, and Silas walked to one in particular.
"You wanted to know what I do here, right? Well, I'm a janitor," Silas said as he pulled out his uniform and threw it at her.
"Huh?" Sierra was stunned by his words for a bit, and then she spoke.
"But... This work doesn't suit you," she said to him with a frown.
"Well, I only know how to speak English. When it comes to education, I don't have that. Besides, I enjoy my work." Silas smiled at her, and Sierra looked at the uniform he gave her.
She looked at him as he removed his shirt, and she was surprised.
She could only stare at him in shock at this moment. She saw various marks and scars and even bullet wounds on his waist, stomach, and even his legs.
'I guess... Some assassins have had it harder than others,' Sierra thought, and then she looked at the uniform that was given to her in confusion.
"Huh? You want me to put it on?" she asked in surprise, and Silas smirked.
"What do you want to do? Follow me around all day?" he asked her, and she looked at the clothes.
She then began to undress. Silas had finished wearing his uniform, and he looked back at Sierra.
She had a very sexy body. With not too much hips, she had big and plump buttocks. However, her breasts were small. She could fit as a model if she didn't become an assassin.
Silas gazed at the wounds on her body: shoulder, thigh, legs, and even one on her ass cheek. The path they took wasn't something someone could randomly choose.
"Say, did you become an assassin out of your own free will?" Silas asked her, and she turned to him.
"Well, weird and bad things always happened around me, so my family thought I was a witch of some sort. Long story short, I was thrown away, lived at an orphanage for a long time, and I became an assassin after I was introduced to it," she explained to him, and Silas now understood.
"We could set up a small bed in the corners. The bank has high security, and I doubt Asakira would be able to find us anytime soon," Silas said, and Sierra could only nod in agreement.
