"Are you seriously asking that question?" The deputy looked at his assistant with a frown and the assistant nodded.
"Don't you watch the news, the entire world knows him."
"Yes, I've heard of him. But only his name. And no, I don't really... watch the news." The assistant answered with a nervous smile and then the deputy sighed.
"Black onyx is a world famous Assasin known for his signature black fox mask. In the span of two years, he assassinated seventeen high class people who all had access to a highly secured environment." The deputy said and then the assistant was shocked.
"Wait, the president of Arabia..." The assistant seemed shocked as he said that and then the deputy nodded.
"Why would the government let him go?! He's dangerous!!" The assistant shouted and the man looked at him with a frown.
"It wasn't his choice to become that. He had a rough childhood." Mark said as he looked at the files on his table and then he stacked the papers and kept them aside.
"He grew up in an orphanage, and he was adopted at the age of 5 into a foster family."
"The father was very abusive and he always found ways to beat Silas for the smallest things. At the age of 8 Silas ran away with meagre education from home and then he stayed in the streets.
"And then he was found by a man who offered help. He left the streets that day and you won't be able to guess who the man was." Mark looked at his assistant who had a hand on his jaw.
"I... I can't figure it out." The assistant said and Mark sighed.
"Hazato Sahashi."
The words spoken by Mark made the assistant frown in disbelief and then the assistant shook his head.
"The dude who mass kidnapped citizens for trafficking?" The assistant was shocked.
"Yeah, he made Silas spend 8 years of his life training in most forms of fighting and assassination. At the age of 16, Silas was given his first assasination mission." Deputy Mark said and then he shook his head.
"That's a fucked up childhood. It could be that the president actually cares and wants to give him a chance at a normal life." The young assistant said as he went to sit down on a chair close to the deputy's table.
"President Barako? That selfish bastard. He hasn't responded to the request to rebuild the collapsed, main bridge south of Abuja. And now people have to go around it through the sandy valley around." Mark said as he clenched his fists as he said that and then he walked out of the office and moved to the transparent window leading to the interrogation room.
...
After two years, the government finally caught up with the human traffickers and that's when they saw a contract binding Silas' life and they terminated it and sent Hazato Sahashi to life imprisonment.
Silas was very quiet, observant, and calm in the situation and then he was taken to rehabilitation for one and half years.
There they taught him the value of human life, how to behave around humans, and social skills in general.
Then he was given a sum of money, a job, and a small apartment to stay in.
Everything was going well, until today...
...
"What about the woman that called?" The assistant asked and the deputy looked back at him.
"She did good. She told us he was being kidnapped. When we got to the gang's base from her directions, we saw Silas had already beaten all of them." The deputy shook his head with a bitter smile.
Before they even broke into the building he was being held he thought that Silas was in trouble. He only entered and was shocked to see Silas about to end the gang leader.
"Wait, how did the woman know the gang's whereabouts?" The assistant asked and the deputy's eyes went wide as he also had no idea.
"Shit!" He immediately pulled out his phone out of his pockets and then he called Roxanne.
*Ding!*
"Hel--"
"Roxanne! The man that called in for Silas! Is she still in the station?!" Mark shouted as he asked her hurriedly and then Roxanne's calm voice resounded from the other side.
"Just cause I said I was too busy to go on a date next week you're shouting at me
... I understand why you're upset. And for your information, the woman has already left." Roxanne said with a calm voice before cutting the call.
"Damn." The assistant said as he shook his head making Mark to shoot him a death glare.
...
Silas was being uncuffed and taken out of the room and the deputy shook his head pitifully.
"There is no doubt that his old enemies won't start coming back after his release and identity were announced on the news." Mark sighed as he walked back to his office.
Back at the interrogation room where Silas was there was a blood puddle under the seat where Silas was at and then as the police walked away with him, he suddenly collapsed on the ground and everywhere blurred out.
...
*Gah!!*
Silas gasped as he sat up on his bed and he held his chest as his heart was beating quite fast.
He looked around to see himself in a big cell made of white tiles with iron bars blocking the entrance which will prevent him from going out.
He looked around and the walls were made of white tiles which gave the room a better glow and then the bed he laid on wasn't even up to one metre wide and was just 80 centimetres in width.
It was a one and half metres long as to fit most people.
"What the hell happened?" Silas said as he looked around, getting up from his bed.
He looked around to see other cells but without a bed and pillow to sleep on and no fans within their rooms.
'The prison is really freaky.' Silas l thought and then as he turned around, he saw his gaming helmet which was just by the side and was plugged into the socket.
"Ah, my gaming helmet?!" Silas was surprised to see it here and he hopped on the bed and grabbed it.
'This is good, at least I'll play the game while I'm here. But first...' Silas thought as he walked to the edge of the bars he was put in.
