Cornered by the CEO

[Warning: Mature Content] "In this lifetime and every other, I promise to only be loyal to you. Even if I have to crawl back from Hell, I will do so gladly." "Wow, you just broke all the cold CEO fantasies." Like every romance novel, Yun Qian Meng faced the evil stepmother and negligent father. On top of that, she was arranged to marry a scum man who manipulated her, stole from her, and finally... killed her. When she woke up, she found herself back at the top of the world. It was all a dream, she told herself and moved on... until the scum fiancé made an appearance. Who was she? Yun Qian Meng. Twenty-five. Founder and CEO of a company worth billions of dollars. The world was at her feet. How dare this scum man think he was worth her? 'My fiancé wants to usurp my company? I'll bury him alive.' 'My father wants to marry me off for his gain? I'll find a husband he will never approve of.' 'Of course... He needs to meet my conditions first.' Who would have known that her arch-nemesis, Mo Qingchen, would present himself in front of her as a potential suitor. 'Lunatic! I wouldn't marry him even if he were the last man on Earth!' Ants surrounded Mo Qingchen. He was twice as powerful as her. Twice as wealthy. And the conditions he was offering were top notch. He'd lit the fire and she swarmed to him like a moth to a flame. 'Well, a contract marriage never hurt anyone.' She was looking for financial and social gain but she ended up on a path to finding herself and things she never knew she wanted. The curtain rose. Shots were fired. The play began. The broken girl started her journey towards the woman she was destined to be. All the world's a stage. And a play is only entertaining when chaos ensues. - - - - - Read my other works: 1. Autopsy of a Mind - Complete 2. Alter Ego: His Sultry Lover - Complete 3. Ate Crayons as a Child

"Yes," her muffled reply came.

She heard a frustrated sigh. "Unless you want a broken nose, I suggest you take your seat."

She turned to face him. "Excuse me?"

"Do you generally place your face against the window during takeoff?" There was a slight smirk on his lips.

"My face wasn't against the window," she gritted out.

"Really?" He looked doubtful. "Take your seat."

She huffed like a child as she looked away from the window. So damn bossy. She went over to one of those reclining seats and plopped herself down. Yin Ah was at her side seconds later.

She placed her drink in the cupholder. "Buckle up, Miss Yun."

Qian Meng couldn't help but stare into her ample cleavage as she leaned down. How could she not? It demanded attention.

"You fly a lot, don't you?" she asked, being the queen of small talk. The lack of people was disconcerting. Suddenly, she felt it would be boring flying like this.

Yin Ah swung her long dark hair behind her shoulders. "I get around." She winked playfully.

'Oh, I bet she does.' Qian Meng smirked to herself. It was clear that she had assets and knew how to use them. She wondered if she shared her assets with Mo Qingchen.

That thought disgruntled her.

He probably had a slew of women to fill his needs. Not that Qian Meng was a sappy romantic, but casual sex wasn't her cup of tea. One night stands were like bite-sized relationships... snacks. It never filled you and kept you feeling hungry.

But couples were really annoying. She could see both sides, but she couldn't do either. A relationship seemed time-consuming while the thought of one-night stands was unappetizing... empty. She would rather starve and keep her head buried in work.

She buckled herself in and looked around. Mo Qingchen was sitting at the conference table, laptop open. He was eyeing his screen with great focus. Yin Ah sauntered her way over to him, all hips and cleavage.

"Mr. Mo, your drink." She bent down low and placed the drink before him. He gave a slight nod without looking up.

The next thing she knew, they were moving down the runway. The sheer force of the takeoff pushed her back into the seat, she gasped at the intensity of it. The calmness filled the cabin, she unbuckled herself and headed straight for the rooms. She moved along the interior, looking at the furniture and picture frames. She tried to be smooth about it, but her heart was leaping in her chest.

She explored until Yin Ah called her to her seat for lunch.

She wolfed down the food, barely chewing it in her anxiousness. Mo Qingchen was still working on his laptop, his sleeves rolled up, hair in total disarray. She finished her lunch and made her way over to him.

He hadn't even touched his food. She stood there for a few moments before clearing her throat to get his attention.

"Yes?" he said without looking up.

"You haven't eaten," she stated the obvious.

He looked up from the laptop and glanced towards the plate disdainfully. "I'll pass." He turned his nose up and went back to reading.

She laughed at his pompous attitude. He was a Fat Cat through and through when it came to food.

"Something funny?" He was still reading.

"You," she admitted honestly. His eyes shot up to her, a spark of light flickered within their stormy darkness. Something about those black eyes drew her in. A story that she wanted to read... no a math puzzle that she needed to solve, but she was only getting a glimpse of the question before the page disappeared.

"Do I amuse you?" He stared her down. Instinctively, she met his gaze.

"Yes." She smirked. "You're such a snob."

"I don't accept inferiority in food. That makes me a snob?" he asked incredulously.

"Yes. The flight is thirteen hours long and you won't eat anything if this is the quality. You'll go hungry. Accepting hunger rather than eating? A big-time snob," she commented.

He leaned back in his chair, stretching his legs out. "Well then, I must be a big-time snob then. Is that all?"

"No." She moved a little closer. "I was just wondering... did you eat crayons when you were a child?" Qian Meng waited for his reply patiently, thinking that he would frown.

Instead, he pondered her question for a second. "Only the green ones, the other colors paled in comparison."

Yun Qian Meng laughed. "I bet. You must have been a snobby child. You probably had gold plated crayons," she teased.

Whatever memories she stirred up obviously weren't pleasant. The laptop slammed shut instantly. Just as he was about to respond, the plane suddenly shook, causing her to lunge forward. She lost her balance and landed directly on his lap.

"What the hell was that?" Her eyes were wide open and darted around wildly.

"Just a little turbulence," he explained, calm and cool and collected.

"Really?" she responded sarcastically. "That was little? It felt like a lot to me."

He took in her fearful expression with great interest. "You're afraid." The shock in his face was evident.

"What? I am not," she huffed defensively.

His strong jaw lowered, dangerously close to her. "Liar," he enunciated the word very slowly.

Her mouth dropped open at his gall. She narrowed her eyes as her hands flew to her hips. Swiftly, everything about him became predatory, it happened so fast that she wasn't prepared. His eyes burned as they stared at her with an intensity that took her breath away.

Greedily she soaked it all up. He was exposed to her for the moment. There was so much to take in that she was slightly overwhelmed. Yet, she was so completely mesmerized, she couldn't look away. The warmth of his breath brushed against her cool skin, reminding her to breathe.

How in the world had she forgotten how to breathe?

Why are they like this? Because they are overgrown teenagers... somewhat horny... somewhat combative, but very attracted to one another. They might destroy the world, but they are one another's salvation. *wink*
