Housewarming

She wished to confront him and ask why he was suddenly treating her differently in bed, but her pride made her hesitate. She would never beg a man for his attention, she would rather be deprived of it.

Facing away, she lifted the duvet and covered herself. Though it took her hours before she could fall asleep, she eventually drifted off to sleep.

Sensing her calm breath, Fernando sat up and walked around the bed to stand beside her. Staring down at her, he checked her eyes for a streak of tears and was relieved to see none. As expected, she was calm till the end, such a stubborn mate.

Amused, he smiled and walked into the bathroom. He was worrying for nothing, that woman was not an emotional type and she would not be a hindrance. After taking a quick bath, he put on some clothes and left the room.
