Diana sat up on the couch as if she had seen a ghost. When Daniel discovered the body of the kidnapper she sent to Amelia's place, she refused to believe the man died without killing Amelia.
Diana had hoped with all her soul and everything in her that the man had at least hurt Amelia, or left her bedridden. There was nothing she did not hope for.
Thankfully, Daniel took the case lightly and asked for his means to dispose of the body. However, he read the warning note he found in the man to her hearing.
The note sent chills down her spine. From that note, she developed a hunch feeling that someone powerful backed Amelia up.
She knew Daniel had his suspicions on her and decided not to talk about it. She denied the dead man without a wink and Daniel walked away with a nod.
The death of her man, his body dumped before their door, the note found in the man's grip, and Amelia standing before her all added together and left her more terrified.
