The Curious Pump

After agonizing, Dylan realized he had no choice but to find a way out, and what other way would that be than to follow the path paved for him?

Now with a boost of confidence, Dylan decided to take his step and move forward, realizing that he wouldn't leave this "unknown environment" if he kept crying.

Without a second thought, Dylan began to walk down the pavement, his heart racing once again with excitement as he believed that this was some kind of "divine test" or possibly a "dream" he was in.

As he went further and further into the desert, he felt as if he were being pulled deeper and deeper into a dream.

He couldn't understand. As he was moving, he began to look up into the sky. What he saw for a moment was something he couldn't believe.

"Woah what's that?.."

It faded immediately after he saw it; he wasn't sure of what he had seen, as it was like a scribble of light for a moment, and it seemed to have originated from where he was headed.

Curiosity pumped him up more as Dylan took to his heels, running in the direction that was paved for him. He kept running and running, but something was wrong; he wasn't getting anywhere at all.

Dylan also noticed something very strange. He noticed that after his running and jumping around earlier, he wasn't hungry or tired. This frightened Dylan, as he thought he had died in his sleep or something, which was the only logical explanation for him at that point.
