Computer Cafe System in Naruto

Marashi, a retired Chunin from Kakashi's generation, was a business owner until a soul from Earth took over his body and gained the [Computer Cafe System]. He doesn't have too much time until Orochimaru invades the village, so what will he do? Play games, of course! From selling hours on the computer and snacks, he could upgrade his shop and his stats! How will the Shinobi World react to modern games and full-immersive VR versions of them? "...This is just plagiarism." "Yeah, I guess."

Changes, Mountain Dew, and Rat Behavior.

Marashi had also made some crucial edits to certain mechanics in Wizard101.

Spellements which was quite irritating to get, was now easier to farm for with better drop rates. He had them scattered amongst various bosses and was only able to drop school-specific spells.

The next thing he did was only have PvP at level 50, but that was more of a temporary measure considering that there was hardly a player base to support lower-level PvP.

Along with the new system for pet training, he also had talent roll-backs for those who don't lock in a talent or confirm talents at level up for 100,000 and 200,000 gold respectively.

He also added challenge modes for each boss at the end of a world. You could farm for specific spellements and gear with an improved drop rate. One could even turn off the school-specific drops if they want gear for another wizard they could make.

Marashi also added more incentives to help lower-level players quest with talent rollbacks, limited-time increased drop rates depending on how long you assisted in questing, and so on.

Now, he was watching the four choose their schools. He personally chose Death.

[Naruto Uzumaki]

There was a strange old guy with a sick beard! He said that I had great potential to even save Wizard City! It was a bit on the nose but it sounded like he'd be a hero.

However, he had to read something called the Book of Secrets to find out what kind of wizard he was.

There were a lot of questions, but he eventually came to the final page that told him his school.

Life.

'I don't wanna be a healer!' Naruto shook his head but saw that there was a skip test on the book and was given a selection. Fire sounded strong, but Storm sounded even cooler. Death was there, however he thought it was too creepy.

When he read the description, he felt that it was fitting. Naruto means maelstrom! He refused to believe it was the ramen topping. The strongest and hardest-hitting magic school in the game. How is that not fitting for someone like him? He nodded to himself.

After that, he was thrust into the tutorial.

[Konohamaru Sarutobi]

The old guy had a better beard than his grandpa!

He also had to read which sucked, but the questions weren't bad.

Fire.

Konohamaru nodded to himself as his clan were mainly Fire Release users so he thought it was perfect.

He was transported to the tutorial.

[Moegi]

She didn't know coming along to play games would result in this, but she didn't regret it.

The questions were kind of fun and she was then shown a school.

Life.

Magic sounded cool to her and being a healer was something she was okay with. She could just heal her friends.

[Udon]

The beard was majestic and he instantly liked him.

A test immediately after soured the impression.

His school was Death.

Now that sounded badass.

Marashi saw the lineup and thought it was quite solid. Two hitters and two supports are a solid composition, especially for this stage of the game.

"Such technology exists?" Hiruzen Sarutobi was smoking on a pipe, hearing Kakashi's retelling of his experiences. The benefits seemed to be quite good and seeing the silver-haired man excited about something other than his student's book was surprising.

"Yes, Hokage-sama. It's hard to believe but it's true. Marashi also said there is another game called Wizard101. Some kind of game about magic." He responded.

Hiruzen took a drag.

"Thank you, Kakashi-kun. Dismissed." Hiruzen waved and he left.

He turned and looked out the window overlooking the village.

"Perhaps I should pay Marashi-kun a visit. Maybe investigate more about that Rocks D. Xebec character." He shook his head as his worldview seemed to be slightly distorted by recent events.

'What in the world is going on in the village?'

+++

"Damn! I can't believe that coward ran away." Naruto huffed as he walked through The Commons with the three kids.

They all had done the tutorial and felt the game was quite cool. Picking out spells and letting them attack the dragons, or draconians as they were called. It had some strategy to it as it was turn-based.

"I know right!" Konohamaru couldn't believe that guy acted tough only to skedaddle. He said he got what he came for, what did that mean? What does he have?

The four were sent to Unicorn Way to investigate. They don't even have time to enroll!

None of them complained, though. They could be heroes who save Unicorn Way! All of them had quite the warped view on shinobi so this attitude was also applied to wizards.

"We'll get that Molester creep, don't worry!" Naruto laughed.

"I think he was called Malistare," Udon murmured and the blond pretended to not hear it.

They arrived at the gate and gave the letter to the guard who let them in.

Soon after, they had the time of their lives.

Battling Lost Souls, defeating Skeletal Pirates, rescuing a guard, and defeating a ghost! Naruto refused to admit he was terrified of it.

Defeating Dark Fairies and opening Bone Cages, and eventually fighting against Rattlebones!

All of them were naturally riding on brooms given to them by Lady Oriel. This broom however lasted for a month, much longer than in the original. It was still a 20% increase in movement speed though.

"Hey did you get a Thunder Snake…spellement thing?" Naruto asked the others.

They shook their heads.

"I got a Dark Sprite one," Udon answered.

"Imp for me," Moegi stated.

"Mine was a Firecat. Is it because of our schools?" Konohamaru asked.

"Hey, guys! Look at the deck part of the spell book and go to the next tab, if we collect enough spellements, we can upgrade our spells!" Udon looked excited.

They rushed to look and when they saw that the damage could increase, they looked hyped.

"Should we…go back in?" Konohamaru asked in hesitation.

They all nodded and beat the boss a few more times and got several more spellements for their level 1 cards.

While grinding to upgrade their spells would be good, they decide to continue questing.

The four of them enrolled and got new spells that they added to their deck and went to Triton Avenue.

Eventually, they defeated the Harvest Lord along with doing side quests, and got to level 8 before their time ran out.

"That was so fun, Marashi-oji!" Konohamaru complimented and Marashi naturally ignored the jab.

The rest of them nodded.

"I have to get back before Ebisu turns the village upside down," Konohamaru grumbled before the three kids left.

Naruto was still there.

"Yo, when do you close shop?" He asked.

"I'll probably close around 10," Marashi responded.

The blond went back to his computer and went back to Wizard101. He didn't want to quest without them but figured that as long as he didn't do the main quest, then he'd be fine.

He grinded the hell out of Rattlebones for spellements and Harvest Lord for the Lightning Bats spellements.

After that, he went to the pet pavilion that he recently unlocked. As the reward for the quest, he got a Thunder Snake pet and trained it. He saw the new mechanics and a kiosk called the Talent Synthesizer that could select from a selection of talents, but he didn't have anywhere near the amount of gold required, so he did things the old-fashioned way.

He got it up to Teen before he ran out of snacks and it got storm-giver. A damage multiplier stat which made him happy.

Soon, he went back to the grind of side quests from the three streets, did crafting, and tried finding the smiths. Naruto did a spell quest to unlock Storm Prism that converted damage to the opposite type.

He eventually got to level 10 from side quests and unlocked Storm Shark.

The hours went by and Naruto spent 3 hours grinding. He unlocked the Tier 2 version of Thunder Snake as the damage went from 105-145 to 120-150. It was quite good as the lower end of the damage had a nice boost. He was also halfway to Tier 2 for Lightning Bats, but he was surprised when he saw a screen.

[You are being spoken to. Exit VR?]

He exited.

His team was there.

"Yo!" Naruto greeted.

"Naruto how long have you been playing?" Sakura shook her head in astonishment.

"Hmm," Naruto checked his time played. "About 5 hours now, I think. It's very fun!"

They were stunned. It was a long time to play and couldn't help but imagine how Wizard101 could be that fun.

Earlier, Sasuke and Sakura stocked up on more hours, deciding to pay for 5 hours.

"Darn, I'm kind of hungry." Naruto's stomach growled.

"There's a snack machine over there," Marashi called out from afar.

Naruto looked around to see what he was talking about until he saw a big rectangle.

'Was this here the whole time?' Naruto was the only one to not notice it, but because his team was more focused on the games, they didn't bother checking it out.

He walked up to it and saw a large screen. It turned on as he saw two options.

[Ramen]

100 Ryo

[Mountain Dew]

150 Ryo

He felt that this shop had even better taste than he originally thought. It had awesome games and ramen. It was truly incredible.

'What's Mountain Dew?' Naruto was confused as he never heard of such a drink. He saw the picture of it, but it was entirely foreign.

The others were behind him and Marashi felt like he had to explain.

"Just tap on what you want and either tap your card or insert money into the slot. The garbage is right there" He informed and Naruto nodded as he pressed on both and was prompted to pay which he did. There was a hole for the garbage.

Next to the machine was a sort of hang-out area with stools and a table along the wall with garbage holes on each side. There were cabinets under them so it was assumed that there were garbage bins, but that's not the case. The trash just disappeared. It's quite good for the environment this way.

Marashi patted himself on the back for this design.

There was a quiet whirring noise before a ding as a compartment opened with his ramen, chopsticks, and the drink.

He decided to try the drink first. Taking a swig, it felt very intense but quite good.

The carbonation was quite strange at first but as he drank a bit more, he liked it a lot. That could also be the sugar talking.

Seeing, Naruto practically down the strange drink, the others were curious.

They each bought one, even Kakashi. The kids tried to see him drink it but he turned quickly and drank it far too fast for them to follow.

"It's good." Kakashi stared at the bottle intently and decided to buy 3 more bottles. Seeing their sensei's hidden enthusiasm, the two other students also drank it.

Sasuke and Sakura were blown away by the taste. The feeling while drinking it was unlike anything they'd had before.

This could be attributed to the fact that Marashi's previous world had advanced techniques and technology to create such beverages, but that would be a bit dishonest.

The snacks could directly increase chakra reserves. It's a very small amount, but the good feeling that they're getting is partly due to this. No wonder they looked a bit like crackheads.

To rub it in his face further, this, of course, didn't apply to Marashi either, but he didn't mind it.

Each of the kids bought an extra bottle and Naruto dived into his ramen. It was simple chicken-flavored ramen, but it was better than any ramen he had outside of Ichiraku.

He threw away the trash and went on Wizard101.

His team was going to catch up to his main quest and they'd play together from there, so he had time to grind more spellements and show off.

Marashi thought that was a common occurrence in Wiz as questing buddies typically moved on without you if you weren't on the game 24/7.

It wasn't really a problem though since Konohamaru still had his friends and he was a hitter too.

Omake: If a certain Boruto arc was canon

Urashiki saw the Nine-Tails enter the Computer Cafe and immediately followed him from behind. He wouldn't care about entering some insect's store.

He was proven wrong.

"Cash or credit?" Marashi asked.

"Hu–?" He had no time to respond.

His protection allowed him to have full authority inside the store.

Of course, he turned Urashiki into a Chakra Fruit and ate him.

He awakened a Rinnegan in each eye and his chakra reserves practically exploded in size to levels beyond Hashirama and Madara.

What came next was unsurprising.

He used the Human Path of the Rinnegan on Obito and Black Zetsu killing them both and completely obliterating the Akatsuki.

This is the wrong decision, taking them out so early before giving Naruto and Sasuke the necessary hardships of the Fourth Shinobi War to survive in the Boruto era with the Otsutsuki, but…

Marashi doesn't acknowledge Boruto at all.

In the end, The Otsutsuki came and Marashi had to carry.

Isshiki came and Marashi dog-walked him as he kept upgrading his stats for this day.

He had to hit him with the Sasuke Combo for the culture.

Marashi maxes out his stats and becomes unrivaled. He protects the world from the menace of the Otsutsuki Clan and continues releasing games for the whole world to enjoy.

The End!

===

Yeah, interfering so soon wouldn't give Naruto and Sasuke the Six Paths power-up. Depending on how soon Marashi kills Itachi, the truth of the massacre wouldn't be revealed because Obito's dead. He might get the Mangekyo Sharingan if he does battle Itachi even without the truth, but who knows? Without the infusion of Hashirama cells, Sasuke doesn't awaken the Rinnegan.

Marashi would truly have to carry if the Boruto Time-Travel arc was canon in my story.

It won't be. That's boring.

Thanks for all the support!

This will be the last Omake for a while, but I'm open to suggestions!

Until next time!
