I... I have decided to join you." Kallen responded with a determined look on her face before facing the others. "As I thought, we should decide for ourselves. It's like how we all decided to follow my brother on our own at first, right?"

Everyone had a thoughtful expression when they heard that.

Well... Except for Lelouch who just kept silent as he watch this drama.

In truth, Lelouch was thinking about how these guys seem to decide something so great but to him, it's not so much.

In the end, he truly did not need these guys, it's just that it was convenient to have them right now and then just recruit more professional people later.

As everyone can think, these people are not even professionals.

Only a few of them are truly good at something.

Most of the members of this rebel group are just trash from the slums who are dissatisfied with what they have so they joined the rebels, thinking that they should at least be able to have a better life with them.

Some of them don't even have any skills at all and are dead poor before joining the rebel group.

So Lelouch, although not as ruthless as the original, still designated these people as cannon fodder.

Although because of not being too ruthless, that designation is just for extreme circumstances, most of the time, they would be assigned as miscellaneous staff that can do some heavy lifting if necessary or run errands, and is a grunt when needed.

"You say that but the others are not here, so how are they going to decide?" some girl in their group said with an exasperated tone because they did not let everyone go now because they thought that they would be deciding everything as a group.

"This..." Kallen was speechless because she had not thought of that at all.

"As expected of my sister! Hahaha! Still so impulsive as always!" Naoto laughed as he said that and the atmosphere finally change to a lighter one.

'As expected of our leader.' some smart people in the group thought while nodding a bit because they thought that Naoto deliberately did this to not make everyone so tense or think too much.

Only two people or three because of Lelouch, know that Naoto truly thinks what he said, he was not trying to lighten up the atmosphere at all.

So Kallen sullenly looked at her big brother but she stayed silent because she could not refute it at all.

"Alright, alright. Those who want to decide for themselves, just do it.

But for everyone else, it will be decided by our leader, Naoto." Ohgi directly put the bucket over Naoto's head.

Is expected of someone who is an expert at passing on all the responsibility to someone else, and that mostly happened in the original series.

If anyone had forgotten, Ohgi was supposed to be the vice leader of the whole black knights, but as everyone could see in the ending.

All the blame and dirt had been into Lelouch, no one else was held accountable except him.

That's right, as the vice leader, Ohgi should have had some part in the organization called the black knights but in the end, he became one of the leaders of the resistance against Lelouch by the end and was even able to knock up a great beauty such as Villeta Nu.

Those who have noticed it might be very resentful of this guy.

He has such a good ending when he was just going with the flow while those who are truly fighting for their beliefs and hopes lost something in the battle.

After all, in the original series, he wouldn't have been the leader if not for Naoto suddenly dying and because he was forced to be a leader which he also didn't truly want at first.

Anyway, that is enough for this guy that even I the narrator, envy the original.

"Eh??! Eh?! what?!" Naoto dumbly asked again as if he heard something wrong.

"Okay, that's acceptable I guess. Although it's still a bit unfair to those who are not here but is fine if it's Leader Naoto.

We trust him." One of the smart guys in the group said.

"What?!" Naoto asked again with wide eyes because no one seems to be asking for his opinion at all.

"That's true. It's big brother after all." Kallen nodded with a thoughtful expression.

"Wait? What about me?! Arent you guys going to ask about my opinion?!" Naoto said with a dumbfounded look on his face as if not knowing whether to laugh or cry.

"It's fine, Leader! You do not need to be polite! We all know it! We trust you, Leader! Just decided for us!" Tamaki rambunctiously shouted with a passionate and determined look on his face which affected most of the other idiots in the group with them right now.

Ohgi saw his best friend's distressed look so he patted him on the shoulder with a kind look on his face.

"Just do it, my friend," Ohgi said as he looked straight into Naoto's eyes.

"..." Naoto just stared back at his friend with wide eyes and a wide open mouth.

He was about to point at Ohgi and say something but he was directly pushed to the forefront while everyone by his side is giving him an encouraging look.

"Fck!" He shouted a curse as he felt like a spotlight was concentrated on him. "You guys! Since you want me to decide then I will fcking do it! Don't fcking blame me later, damn it!"

"Hehe..." Kallen chuckled as she is one of the people who knows what Naoto was truly thinking about.

Truthfully, Naoto wasn't even planning to be the leader of this rebel group at the start.

It's just that, at the start, he was the one who was clamoring about getting everyone together to form a group, and then some things happened that ended up with Naoto becoming the leader.

"So, have you finally made up your mind?" Lelouch asked again when everyone became quiet.

"Yes! It's been decided! We will join you! You will be the leader now! Or I will still be the leader of my people and I would just get some instruction from you.

Whichever you want." Naoto said with a bit of cunning because even if he might seem stupid, and might truly be stupid sometimes, he still acted as a leader so he felt responsible.

So said this subtle move.
