Chapter 4

Kas didn't teleport. That's it.

She didn't. Just like that, she woke up right where she fell asleep - on her bed, one leg hidden under the blanket, another hanging from the bed.

Now for you it's not confusing. You're used to waking up where you fell asleep (I'm talking about respectable people here, and those who go drinking with their friends and make bets with some strangers over who can drink more).

But for Kas, it's a first in the last seventeen years.

"What the actual twating heck, " she said going upstairs to go talk to her parents.

"So you wanna tell me, " said her mom after Kas finished telling everything to her family, "That you had morning teleporting powers; and then, when thirty-five, you went drinking, made a bet, and woke up right before your birthday, which is now."

"Yeah."

"And," said dad, "you lost your teleporting magic."

"Yeah, probably."

"And your power never made you teleport through time before."

"Nah."

"And, all this happened, cause you met some annoying dandy truck, who made you drink till you pass out."

"More or less." siad Kas.

"So, just find him!" Her dad happily waved his glass and splashed blood he was sipping on Grandma Ha, who made a strange hissing side.

"Well, love, it's not that easy. " Mom looked at Kas sadly. "The boy probably is still a kid, you know. You did say, that he looked about twenty. Now he should be less then ten. I doubt he will understand what you're talking about. Or have the power to return back to where you were, if it's his fault."

"It might not be him." Kas said. "My powers might have been influenced by that strange metallic drink in the blue bottle, you know."

"Then find the bartender!" shouted dad excitedly.

"I would, but, I can't remember the bar I was drinking at."
