Aaliyah

As I rocked my baby in the armchair, I smiled. His pale blue eyes observed me with interest. He wasn't looking at me like a child but rather like a full-grown adult. Holding him like this warmed my heart. I couldn't believe I had once tried to get rid of him with pills.

He smiled fully, and I saw his perfect white teeth. It was odd for a newborn to have a complete set of teeth, but considering he was a tribrid, I didn't think much of it. His skin was warm, like a burning flame.

The door creaked open, and I saw Tristan step in. He smiled at me.

"Am I disturbing you?" he asked.

"Not at all," I shook my head. "Come."

He walked closer.

"Do you want to…?" I glanced at him before turning back to the baby.

His eyes widened, and he flashed me a smile.

"Come on," I said. "You should hold him. He's your son."
