Chapter 36

Aaliyah

Upon returning from shopping, I was extremely tired and needed some rest, but I also wanted to see Tristan first. I twisted the doorknob, and as I opened it, I found him standing by the window.

He was holding a glass of wine as he stared outside. Setting the glass down, he walked toward me and handed me a box.

"What's that?" I asked, taking the box. When I opened it, I saw car keys.

"What is this?" I stared at him and then back at the keys, my brain trying to catch up.

"Go look outside."

I shot him a suspicious glance as I walked toward the window, the exhaustion suddenly vanishing. I hurried to the window, pulled the curtain, and my eyes landed on a black car.

My mouth dropped open. Sitting there under the moonlight was a brand-new Bentley Continental GT.

"Tristan..." I whispered, turning to him.
