Chapter 4

Nikolai

Someone kicked me,but I didn't go down,I turned and grabbed his foot, kicking him in the stomach, so you wanna kill an innocent girl?,let's see how that part works out. Before I knew it, I was almost done fighting them all, I felt something cut my leg, I looked at it then at the person, I used the injured leg to kick him, sending him flying way back, and me to fall weakly, again,Jason caught me before I went unconscious.

My eyes opened slowly ,I looked around,seeing persons around me,making sure I'm alright, Jason was standing at the window, he looked deep in thought. I moved but the pain in my foot made me wince, "she's awake your Highness"a small voice says,Jason turned to look then nodded his head, "thank you Finn"he says to the little girl,she smiles getting up and leaving with the others. Jason sat next to me, looking at the wrapped wound as if he'd attack it, "it seems I always end up in your arms"I say catching his attention "it seems that way"he smiles as his eyes met mine.

"I really should get back home"I say softly, "why?, don't you like it here?" Jason asks "no,I do,but I am trouble anywhere I go,it had always been that way"I say looking at my hands,which he held up and kissed, "well I like the trouble, don't be worried about the Queen, she will keep trying but she will fail miserably"Jason says chuckling, "I hope so" "where'd you learn to fight like that?" "my grandfather was a soldier,he taught me, something my father would've never done" "thank him for that" "where are the others?" "they are safe,I will have them escorted here to take you first thing tomorrow,until then,get some rest",he got up to leave but I grabbed his arm, "at least wait till I fall asleep" "very well",again,if anyone told me about this,I'd laugh at them.I felt a sharp pain in my side,just running along, my eyes shot open and I saw someone,not his face, "no"I say softly as he stabbed me again then pulled the knife out.

Jason

"Jace, Jace get up"Kira says shaking me, "what?,is something wrong?" I ask quickly, "it's Nikka" "what's wrong with her, is she alright?". "What happened?" I ask looking at Nikka's body, her clothes had knife cuts and were soaked with blood, "it appears someone wanted her dead"Wailer says,he was the Royal priest, "did you see her before she went back to sleep Jason?" Father asks "yes,she asked me to stay until she fell asleep,after she did,I left"I answer walking around to her side,the doors opened and the three troublemakers came in, "it's true"Norian says looking at Nikka,they might not have been friends for long but I knew she meant alot to them.

"But she doesn't know anyone"Butch says and I nod in agreement, "if you'll let me do my work your Highness"Wailer says,I let him,he started speaking in a foreign language, wetting her body with something that smelled like flowers and fruits. I kissed Nikka's forehead and she jumped up, gasping then coughing, I've seen many things but not this, she hugged me and I felt her tears, "okay.....I've seen enough weirdness in one day"Sebastian says ready to leave but Norian grabbed his hair, "ow,ow,ow,ow," "sit",he sat again, "hey, are you okay?" I ask looking at Nikka, "I thought I died"she says "welcome to the party"Butch says waving his hand, "how?" Nikka asks looking at her healed wounds, "I don't know,but I'm grateful"I answer,I'm confused but I've seen too many things in my life to let this scare me.

Nikolai

I ran a hand through my wet hair, Norian said she knew a place that we could relax,after I, again, survived another death,am I lucky?. The place was silent, except for the birds chirping around, "Nori?!"I called while putting my shorts on, twigs broke and I looked up, "Norian it's not funny!"I call putting my shirt on, the place went silent again,making me suspicious,I looked around then stepped off the rock, the light sound of the waterfall filling my ears, "Norian?!"I call again, nothing. "Hello pretty girl",my first instinct was to punch the person,but he wrapped his arms around me, trapping me, "is that anyway to treat your Prince?" Jason asks before turning me to look at him, "I could've punched you"I say shoving him, "but you didn't"he answers "where's Nori?" I ask "I paid her off, she's probably drinking all that money"he answers "what if I had gotten kidnapped?" I ask "then I'd be your hero" "ha!,my hero is much more good looking".

Jason laughed lightly, "am I not appealing to the eye?" Jason asks "maybe not mine" "I doubt that",I shook my head to not further the conversation. We just sat in silence until Jason broke it, "when you talked about your grandfather,you cried,did something happen to him?" Jason asks, "he died saving my life"I answer,he looked at me instantly, "honest?" Jason asked "yes,that's how I ended up here"I answer shrugging, "thank him for that" "why?" "because I wouldn't have had such an amazing friend",I smile standing, "we should get back"I say "right",he whistled and men came out from the trees, "okay.....wow?" I ask "never can be too cautious right?". He's definitely something else.

I got looks from persons as I walked the streets,I've only been here a week,if you even call it that,I just know I've been here a few days. I went in the house and closed the door, "why is everyone looking at me like that?" I ask my friends,they all looked at me, "what?" I ask "the queen wishes to see you at the palace"Sebastian says looking terrified, "why?" I ask curiously, "only the town people know,so it's best if we get some rest and be early tomorrow"Butch says, Norian walked to me, "I don't know what's going on, but I won't let them take you"she says making me smile, "thank you Norian,and I don't forgive you for selling me out to that spoiled little rich boy",she laughed at me, "hey,he pays the rent around here,so I gotta do what he wants"she says walking off, "still not cool".
