Chapter 024: Last Three Round  

After their match. Chesster with Rod on his side directly go to their spot and respectfully asked to Mr. Norly if Rod join them until the rest of the tryout. Mr. Norly smiled and welcomed Rod and even said that if he has a time, he can join their future practices.

Rod nodded and bowed to Mr. Norly to show his respect. They sat on their spot waiting for Chesster's teammate. After a while, one by one, Chesster's teammate finished their matches and all of them are smiling. All of them have won and gave Mr. Norly a thumbs up while smiling.

Mr. Norly huddled everyone and gave them a warm hug. When Chesster saw Rod standing on the side, he pulled him and let him join the group hug. After the group hug, Rod didn't waste his time and started introducing himself right away.

Everyone welcomed him just like as they did to everyone they meet. The fourth round has ended for all categories. Mr. Andy announced that tomorrow will be the final day and they will know the result right after when all the round is done.

Result after four rounds. 4 points for Ace, Chesster, Randy, Ervin and Mark; 3 for Csarina and IJ; Billy, Marco and April have 2.5 points and Rod have 3 points.

Everyone decided to tell Mr. Andy and Mr. Norly that they will go to the dorm to take a rest. Mr. Norly decided to take them to the dorm, despite how mature, they are, they are still a six-year-old kids.

On their way to the dorm, Mr. Norly cheered everyone and also didn't forget to tell them to be humble no matter what they achieve in the future. Everyone listened to what Mr. Norly's advice and natural replied with a smile.

In front of the dorm, Adam and his teacher are there waiting for them. Adam's teacher approached Mr. Norly to congratulate him for having a lot of geniuses.

"You got a lot of geniuses out there Mr. Norly." Mr. Neal said

"I am honored Mr. Neal, I got lucky to bump with them. I just learned what happened to your student." Mr. Norly replied

"It is unfortunate and it already happened that we can't change it anymore, but it is a good thing because Adam gained something thanks to your kid Chesster." Mr. Neal said

While the two teachers are talking, Chesster talked with Adam.

"I haven't seen you senior" Chesster asked.

"Something happened, but I'm all good now." Adam replied.

"It is unfortunate that I will be left behind for a year with you guys, but I'll promise that I will be back." Adam said while smiling at Chesster.

After talking, Mr. Norly make sure that everyone entered their rooms before going back to the playing venue. Mr. Neal also talked with Adam and he will join Mr. Norly going back.

Mr. Neal and Mr. Norly together go back to the venue to attend the meeting about the final three rounds and about the club.

Academy Dorm, Room 12

Unexpectedly, Max and Romy are already inside playing chess. They stopped what they are doing and greeted the arrival of the three. Adam also greeted them and said,

"How are you brothers, how did your matches go?"

"I got 2 wins, 1 draw and a loss senior" Max said

" I got 2 wins, 2 draws, senior" Romy followed.

Adam, cheered them to raise their spirit and said,

"That's good. I suggest to analyze some of your games today what do you think brothers?

Chesster excitedly agreed and approached everyone to agree also. With his persistent attitude, everyone laughed and agreed. Even Rod said,

"You really are a chess maniac" while laughing hard.

"Before we start, lets go to the lobby to buy our food, right?" Adam suggested.

Everyone agreed and go out to the lobby. They bought everything they needed and hurriedly go back to their room. They prepared everything and set up the chess set and decided to analyze Max chosen match followed by Romy and last for the match of Rod and Chesster.

After a couple of hours of analyzation. They are tired and Adam decided to wrap their session and gave advices to them. He also told everyone to do their best for the last three rounds. Before they go to bed, Adam asked Chesster,

"Are there times that you became a different person due to circumstances?"

"Like being enlightened senior? Chesster replied.

"Yes, something like that. To tell the truth, I got enlightened yesterday when we play each other. I feel like a totally different person thanks to you." Adam said.

"I experience that also when I got a match with Ace senior. And I guess it's not because of me, but it is because of you senior. If you are not strong enough to handle it, you may not become what you are right now." Chesster replied while looking at him.

"Yes, yes, you are right. It is really a high-risk high reward scenario. I still plan to play the last three matches tomorrow in order to try something. What do you think brother? Adam asked.

"It's a good idea senior. We will wait for your arrival in the club someday." Chesster replied.

After their discussion, they decided to rest now. Chesster whispered to himself,

"I miss you father. I miss everything about you. I have a lot of stories to tell. But don't worry about me, Mr. Andy is taking care of me."
