Chapter 9: Germany and Spain
“Selene!” The bartender was chatting with one of the patrons, maintaining that flirty facade she was told to keep but not allowing anything more. The two of them, Thomas and Selene, worked perfectly; at least, that’s what Elizabeth kept telling her. Selene always agreed but secretly hoped that everyone would drop claiming that she was easy on the eye and that was the only reason why she was hired.
Was it true? Perhaps. Have things changed, and has she actually learned a thing or two about the job? Well, it was up to the manager to decide in two weeks.
That’s why her name coming from the General Manager himself was a terrifying prospect.
