Chapter 48: Hard Work and Dedication
It’s been more than a week since the bartender's mother left the city. Surprisingly enough, their relationship was in a much better place than before she came over. She even promised the young woman to let her father know about the situation.
Selene was more than thankful that she got a little bit more time to figure out her family issues. Besides, her brother was definitely happy that his sister made a brilliant decision to stay in New York. Everyone got what they really wanted, even though the father of the family was likely to be the only one dissatisfied with the results.
However, this particular problem was left for another time. The bartender still hoped that he would come around and become less tense.
As for her work, nothing seemed out of the ordinary. The bartender had lunch with Elizabeth, Rose, and Charlie. They all finally felt in a good place if one didn’t consider the absence of the particular chef.
