"Carter." Colette somehow possessed more resemblance with Furies than a normal human, even with her Barbie pink bag. How she got into his office was also a question to be discovered. Perhaps the chef was distracted thinking about someone in particular and preferred to ignore the rest of the world.
"Colette?"
"Already forgot me?" His ex raised a delicate eyebrow, demanding an answer.
"I was actually just about to call you. We need to talk," Carter had zero desire to get involved with her acts after his talk with Elizabeth. Since Selene and the chef finally said things straight, they were both trying their best to make this work.
"We do. For example, we can start with your new girlfriend and how you abandoned me to have fun with her."
"I do not wish to know what you are insinuating, but…"
There was a knock on the door, and Carter sighed but quickly shouted for them to come in. The shift was in full swing, and turning someone away could be an issue.
