Chapter 12: The Room Where It Happens
“You have two hours to complete all the tasks.” Mr. Peters was staring her down, passing a thick folder. “There are 100 easy ABC questions. I trust you don’t require further instructions.”
“No, thank you.” Selene was finally getting a chance to prove that she wasn't just the pretty face Mr. Peters always called her.
“Proceed. We will have the interview with the chef right after.” And with that, the manager was gone.
Upon close inspection, the test was predictable. Some questions were dedicated to the history of the restaurant and even Carter himself; others were checking her knowledge of the season menu and the wine card. Thank you, Carter, for the warning, Selene thought to herself before taking a pen in her hands and starting to mark the questions in front of her.
