"What the hell is wrong with this Status!", Mayari gritted her teeth and then slammed her hands on Azrael's back, slapping it multiple times.
Azrael meanwhile frowned somewhat. He could guess that something was shown there that clearly agitated her. He had to guess that his stats maxed out at 1250 or something.
Come to think. Azrael also wondered if some skills appeared that were related to his lich tattoo on his left arm. 'That would be bad...What exactly do God's think about undead creatures? There are after all some gods with death as their divinity, right?'
When Azrael was still thinking about that, Mayari sighed out.
"Alright, you can level up...There are a few options for you. When our children level up, the Falna grants you what we call a development skill. What kind of skill it becomes is depending on your performance, activities, as well as the quality of Exilia that was gathered..."
Azrael listened to her explanation and tried looking back. "So what are my options then?", he asked normally.
"..." She remained silent for a short moment and Azrael could now see how she had a massive frown on her face. "There are some options for you..."
She immediately became serious.
"And I have never seen some of them. For example, Corrupting Touch and the Ice Aura...From my point of view, those are clearly skills related to that Undying Lich innate you gained from somewhere! But that makes you evil! What exactly happened in the dungeon!? Why is there such dark Exilia inside you? And the number of monsters you killed...What is even weirder is that you unlocked some other development skills without the Falna's help and even got some other Innates that were not there before! You even gained Magic. Urgh, I think I am going crazy now talking about this!!"
Mayari scratched her head and disheveled her long hair only to calm down and look at Azrael's back.
Now Azrael was also surprised. "Can I see my paper, please? Just chose something that is not evil or the likes. That should be fine, right?" He did not have to choose those clearly Death Knight related skills. He knew exactly where they came from but remained silent. Mayari didn't seem to know about Frostmourne yet.
"Hmm, right...But I wonder about you since you did unlock some development skills normally only gained through the Falna. Hunter for example...You even progressed that skill to its limit with the massive amount of killing you performed on the same monsters in such a short time..." Finishing up her sentence she concentrated a little and performed her duty again.
After laying a paper page on his back and transferring the information on it she hid the Falna again and handed him the sheet.
"I chose the Scout ability for you. It helps you find your way around the dungeon. It should make it easier for you to find the stairs to lower levels and vise versa when you need to leave the dungeon. It is also a very rare support skill one only gets after having been inside the dungeon for a prolonged time. Most people skip that skill for better ones like Hunter but since it is you, it doesn't matter, I guess."
Then she put a hand at her chin an thought about something. "Maybe it is the Limit Breaker Innate of yours?" It seems she was still focused on finding out what the reason for this abnormality was.
Azrael on the other hand looked at his status and had large round eyes on what he was reading there.

"Uhm...Dear Goddess...Are you sure you should be wondering about why I gain skills? Should you not be more worried about the kind of skills I get? And how I got them?", asked Azrael with a very wry smile at her.
She looked over at him being dragged out of her thoughts.
"Not really? And the second I am already trying to figure out. At least I figured out how most came to be...That is if I take into consideration the amount of Exilia and the way you gained it, I can see where those skills appeared from...", she answered nonchalantly.
"Wait, then why are you so agitated about it?", asked Azrael back with a tilted head.
"Do you even listen? It is because some of them appeared WITHOUT any clear reason! That Undying Lich and the other two locked development skills for example make no sense!"
"...What about Monster Bane then? What is that innate?", asked Azrael now. He actually had to accept this Goddess is a weird one.
"Hmm? Oh, right. you probably don't even know most of the effects of the skills. Well, let's start there. Monster Bane is basically a skill that increases aggression against you from all monsters. I guess that also includes the more time you spent in the dungeon, the more dangerous it becomes. That is why a variant goliath appeared...And that skeleton...It looks like the dungeon does not want you inside. That is actually a curious skill but I can understand why it appears. You did get Hunter to its limit after all..."
"That is mostly because the dungeon always trapped me into some damn one-way traps and spawned one damn monster after the other right in front of me. And I think I encountered at least about 100 different monster parties.", sighed Azrael.
"See, looks like the innate works just fine...Anyway, Undying Lich tells me your body is corrupted by unholy energies and if you die, you will end up reviving as an undead. So please be careful, okay? Its one thing to know you got a safety measure but another to know you would become an undead...We should keep an eye on that skill."
"Then it's a good thing I got the healing factor, no?"
"Yes...But how much did you let yourself get injured to get that? I saw you injured at most of your fights if not about all...Actually, that is another thing I can't wrap my head around. For that skill to be that high you would have to walk around nearly non-stop in a near-death state and constantly have wounds to heal...Yet you stand here just fine as if nothing of that kind happened."
"Maybe I did...?"
"Well, your body started to use mana to help accelerate your already high healing and it became rather efficient in healing the body with the energy that you received a skill corresponding to it."
"Hmm." Azrael was actually wondering how good that skill is. He did always keep himself safe from dismemberment. Then grabbing a knife from his belt he slammed it into his naked abdomen.
Mayari was surprised by that action and then saw Azrael counting down and looking at his wound that was bleeding.
"You idiot! That healing is only a boost and is margi..." But her words stop when she sees his wound slowly close itself and then only leaving another scar at the exact same spot. "What the? That is impossible! That should not be that effective!! Wait! Don't tell me your skill is also at a higher realm than S! Why is it not showing!? Alright, that damn Innate of yours is definitely screwing around here!!"
Azrael looked at her with a tilted head again.
"That Limit Breaker is unshackling every ability and stat inside your body! It messes around with my Falna! That is already in the realm of God's! No, not even God's are that ridiculous!"
Her eyes had an amazed and angry look at the same time, but then she breathed in deeply and exhaled with a sigh. "Alright, I will keep most of that a secret. After all, that Moon Essence magic of yours is probably at fault for something else and you won't need that attention. Just don't make some stupid stuff and behave until I come back. I also got a meeting at an emergency Denatus today anyway. I will get your alias there as well. Every Lvl.2 Adventurer receives one."
"Hmm? Alright?" Then he saw how Mayari stretched and really walked away and left the home.
'What did she mean with at fault at something? Damn, I can't believe she is taking it so calmly...Well, at least mostly?' Azrael somehow had to smile lightly. He was happy to know he had met such a kind and understanding Goddess right at the start.
Then he wondered what alias he would receive? After all, Mayari had to keep quiet about most of his skills.
Thinking about his first Lvl advancement and it not skipping to Lvl. 3 made it even more important to get some people to join him and help out the old men's request. The guild probably won't make an exception.
'Maybe I can find some people in that tavern?' Then realizing something he hissed through his teeth. "Oh crap! I completely forgot about the unpaid meal!" searching around he could still see his money card lying at the same spot as before.
There was even a note from Mayari near it that told him to take it back. She probably knew he just did an idiotic move without thinking much about it.
