Chapter 2
After Yohan appeared.
"Our savior!"
The elves cheered and the despair on their faces vanished like it was not there before. But they still ran. Wishing that, that despair really will be gone later.
"Eh? Not enough? Well..."
"Stop staring in one place Yohan! Move!"
"Alright! Leo."
They sprinted at the dragon as it is recovering from being blown away.
"What do you want from these elves, dragon?"
Leo questioned him.
"Ho… A mere human can communicate with me?"
"I am not a human."
"Then? What are you?"
"A spirit."
"A spirit that resides in the physical realm. How interesting. I'll acknowledge you being a spirit since you could communicate with me. Then? What is that you asked again?"
"What do you want from these elves?"
"Nothing much. It's just that they set their filthy feet onto my territory."
"Then I may want you to leave them alone."
"Why are you protecting these elves exactly?"
"Because it could turn out to be a secret quest and I think we could clear it when we helped them or kill you."
"... Bwahahahahaha! Kill me!? A dragon!? You really thought you could!? No! I won't be leaving these elves alone until they are dead. No one! All of you will be burnt into ashes in my land!!!"
"Very well. Everyone. Get ready."
"What is he saying? Why did he just laughed?"
"Nothing. Killing him is the only option."
"Alright. Let's do this."
Yohan ran towards the dragon with his yoyo.
"Enlarge!"
It became two times bigger than him. But still.
He threw it at the dragon but blocked it with both of his hands.
The yoyo immediately disappeared and when he looks for it. He got hit in the face. It disappears again and series of those strikes which he could not follow began hitting him.
"Bastard!"
He blew fire on his feet that burn the surrounding. This dragon is approximately 26 meters in height when standing.
The hits stopped.
"Where are you!?"
He looks around but saw no one.
"Bastards."
He then felt vines wrapping his lower body.
"What the!?"
He blew fire on it that released him and immediately flies up.
"Where are you!? Cowards!"
"You're too big of a target!"
Be heard than and looked at the direction it came from. But the large yoyo immediately hits his face and knocked him on the ground. Luckily he managed to land on his feet. Those vines are there once again and he is pretty annoyed by now.
"Piercing arrow!"
He then felt a sting which is an arrow. It managed to hit his heart. But he did not die immediately.
"Grrr… How dare you…"
The large object hits him again on the back. Which causes even more pain in his chest.
Leo then appeared in front of him.
"Spirit…"
"I told you to leave them alone. You wouldn't go away even with that, do you? It would hurt your honor as a mighty dragon so you wouldn't back down. This is the only way. We have to kill you."
"You!!!"
The white aura begins to appear throughout Leo's body.
"Ghostblade: Kill"
The dragon swings down his foot on him but he only stood there and didn't flinch.
This is the work of Racial Skill: Spirit.
Spirits could become tangible and intangible but it has a cast time of one second as this is a pretty OP racial skill in the early days of the game when it doesn't have it. Spirit related skills' damage is also boosted. He can't be attacked in intangible form and he also couldn't attack in that state.
This is why he's called a Ghostblade. You would die without even knowing how he killed you. Since the way he attacks in his Ghostblade skills is by using his spirit to attack you.
Though you could damage him when you are lucky and landed a blow on his spirit form. It would just pass through and you can't see it for its duration.
"What!?"
A burst of elemental balls rushed to him and landed a clear hit.
[HP:4,000/10,000]
"BASTARDS!"
He felt his heart being cut into many pieces.
"Wha–"
What he felt last is a stab on it.
He coughs blood and slowly dropped on the ground lifelessly.
Leo then began moving once again.
"I am a pretty good dragon killer."
"Good job. Leo!"
"Yeah. Let's check the elves. Sadly it's not a quest."
"It's alright. We leveled up to three after all."
"Yeah. Whatever this place is."
"Guys?"
The elf with a staff called them.
"Um… The log out button is not working…"
"Eh!? Are you sure Mia? I'll try it!"
Mafuyu. Rushes to check it for herself. But it was futile. It is not working.
"What should we do?"
"Damn devs. Let's just wait for somebody to remove our headgear later. They must be going to do it since we are going to celebrate. Let's just enjoy this extra experience for now."
"Yeah. Leo is right."
After walking and arriving at the remaining elves.
"Our saviors!"
They expressed their gratitude by kneeling.
"Eh? We are not gods. You shouldn't do that."
"But you just killed a dragon that nobody on our tribe could possibly harm! We are deeply indebted to your powers!"
"Calm down everyone. The dragon is gone. You maybe could just find somewhere to seek refuge."
"But our village is burnt down. We also couldn't go anywhere as nobody would be going to help us."
"You. You don't look like an elf. You look like a human "
"I am really not an elf. I am a spirit."
"Spirit? No spirit should be in the physical realm."
"But there are many spirits currently here. Are they your guardians?"
"Really? Then. They must be our deceased village members and ancestors."
"Believe that I am a spirit. It's not that it would harm you after all."
"Eh… Y, yes! We believe you! O' great spirit!"
"Are they worshipping us?"
"Maybe it's just Leo."
"You don't need to do that. We will help you create a new village."
"Thank you very much!"
"Well. Helping elves in the game doesn't hurt much. Right? Leo?"
"Yeah, Yohan."
