"Wait. Didn't that guy said, Ki?"

Rei asked.

"Yeah... Wait. He said Godkins have enhanced control in ki or mana. But ki is not a source for spell casting in the game."

Rai replied.

"Then what does that mean? Big bro?"

"There are only two main sources for spell casting. Mana and stamina. Stamina is widely used by warrior type players and mana for magic casting type. Everyone has both and could use it any given time whenever they have a skill that requires one of those two to cast. But after a few years in the game. Somebody managed to unlock a ki-based ability. It's much stronger than using regular stamina. More of a better version of stamina. Our real-life martial arts master."

"Oh! Victor at the demon party!"

"The flame master. In real life. He uses a technique which he said is all about explosive force, thus leading to him using it in the game and is very effective. He believes in the principles of ki. And when he applies those in the game. A new source of spell casting is born. Ki. With that, he could use it to directly cast flames without speaking. It's all about his mind."

"Yeah. He rarely uses his skills because of those powerful and hot flames."

Asser replied.

"But still, big bro! Only he could use it in the game! How is it that these NPCs knew about it!?"

"Sure that our guild is full of extraordinary people. But these people are not NPCs. We're in a real world. Or so it seems. For now. Let's just treat them as real people."

"But then. How is it that they learned how to use ki? Could it be..?"

Niel asked.

"It could be. Somebody taught them how to use ki. They said that those gods taught the whole world about magic. Well. Let's just dismiss it for now. We have a quest."

Everyone became silent and just followed.

They walked for a while and Rei asked.

"How are we going to that place? Big bro? It seems that we will take longer if we don't ride anything."

"Hahh– we're spending so much money by now. People will definitely get suspicious if we spend even more."

"Then? How are we going to go there?"

"Let's go back to the guild. Let's find if we could escort somebody going there."

"Oh… Escorting quests are kind of boring."

"But it's the only option. We can't have people suspect and be wary of us."

"Seems a good option."

Laurence said.

They head once again inside the guild. They then arrived on one of the counters and asked.

"We accepted a quest just now about exterminating goblins. Is there someone that needs to be escorted in that route?"

"May I look at your ID first?"

"Here."

After inspecting it. The woman asks.

"There is only one quest that had been accepted regarding goblins. So, that's you and your party?"

"Yes."

"You said escorting quest?"

"Yes. A person who will go and take such a route."

"Oh! There is one! The quest's content is just about how you need to help him transport his goods and protect him. He's a noble. He's in a rush so he needs to go through that route. He offered the quest a few hours ago for each person to get three silvers each. There are currently four applicants. But because that route is infamous, therefore not many people had joined. It still needs six people and they will go on immediately if the number of applicants is met."

"Very well. We'll join in. We could complete two quests in one go."

"Just go to room three upstairs. The sir is currently in there along with the applicants."

"Thank you."

They head up the stairs towards the second floor. They walk straight and to the left corridor, in turn, they found the room.

They entered the room and it seems they just finished speaking to each other.

"Oh."

A man that seems to be in his teens with blonde hair and good body exclaimed. One of the four adventurers that joined.

"Hello. We applied for the quest."

"Oh. Welcome. I am the one who requested for escorts. So? There are five of you. We needed one more to go then. I am Baron Braedin Orson Clime Hayden. You could just call me Baron Hayden."

An old gentleman spoke with a warm welcome.

"Thank you, I am Rai Invictus. The leader of this party."

"Mm… Please get to know the other party as well."

"Yes."

"I am Mytzen Ruzo. The leader of this party."

The previous man introduced.

"Rai Invictus. Let's have our members know each other."

"Yes. Guys. Go on and introduce yourselves."

"U-um… I am Ririha Mitch. The mage of the party. Nice to meet you."

A purple-haired girl spoke shyly.

"I am Regild. No need to know my last name. Tank.

A bulky man said with a smile.

"I am Ritz Zanks, archer of the party. Nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you too. We all share the same surname so I'll just go ahead and introduce them all to you myself. Rei, this also apparent blonde one, my little brother. Our swordsman. Asser, this dude clad in full plate, obviously our tank. Niel, this small guy with white hair."

"Hey!"

"And lastly Laurence. This guy with nice blue hair. Am me. As you see. Black-haired and pretty average body. I am the healer and support."

"Nice to meet you! Questmates!"

The girl said.

"Questmates, huh?"

"Yeah…"

"Anyways. Let's just wait for our last guy since the introduction is finished."

"Yes."

Mytzen said.

They all sat down and chat in the meantime.

"Well. You seem to be rich."

Mytzen suddenly speaks.

"How can you say that?"

"Your equipment. We saw it in Siegfried's shop. Not many people could afford those kinds of equipment besides the rich."

"Our equipment doesn't matter. We're only alphas after all."

"Still. Those are powerful equipment. Only Omega adventurers could hope to equip their whole body with those except the rich."

"I see. But it's nice after all. We purchased this not to show off but rather to have a good chance in adventuring."

"Yeah. But some people just used those kinds of equipment to show off to lower ones."

"Hmm. That's a sad one then."

A knock then came on the door which Laurence instinctively opened.

A young boy with round glasses that seems to be thirteen years old entered.

"Hello. I wanted to join the quest."

"Hello young boy. But it could be dangerous for you so I might not be able to allow it.

Are nobles kindhearted like him? Rai thought.

"Please. I need to join. There are no other quests. Please. I also don't have a party so… Please…"

"But young boy. The road will be extremely dangerous. Why do you want to do this?"

"To buy my mother medicine. Please."

"Then. I'll just give you three silvers. I don't mind it. I don't want a young person like you to be in danger, especially there is a risk of dying."

"No. I am fine with you giving me three silvers but please. It's like robbing you through sympathy. Also… I wanted to become a powerful adventurer so I need experience in battle. I am fast and nimble! I am sure that I could manage."

"Then? You'll be guarding me with him at your party. Are you adventurers alright with him fighting? But please. Protect him if needed."

"Yes. I'll be sure to protect him when needed."

Regild said.

"I guess it's alright for him to fight. I will heal him and keep an eye on him."

Rai added.

"Alright. I hope we manage with those waves of goblins. My carriage and wagon are outside along with my goods. Let's go on then since we are complete."

They head out and behind the building awaits the carriage and a wagon for them to be in.

"Let's go."

"Yes! Baron!"

Upon hopping in they set out to a northern city.
