Chapter - 11

"There's Flosiezanes everywhere! How are you expecting to sleep?" - Ellis said after making me anxious for nearly 10 minutes. Gosh... what is that? Is that some kind of insects or some wild animals, he looks quite stressed out.

"??????... Translation please!" - Ellis laughed out loud at that. What's so funny?

"You don't even know Flosiezanes!!! Hannah... you can be hilarious sometimes. It almost feels like you're not someone from here, like someone out of this world." - He laughed out loud, almost falling out of the tree he was standing on.

''Oh shit... Am I caught! Act cool. ACT COOL!"

"A HA HA... I'm bad with memorising stuffs"

"Hmm, Never mind, I'll tell you. Flosiezanes are tiny crystal flowers. If you notice your surroundings, you'll be able to see some tiny glowy things, more exactly they are some sort of phosphorescents substance. If these flowers are around you, then you won't be able to get an ounce of sleep because of its odour and the ray coming out of those. The ray gets powerful as the night gets darker, making it harder to fall asleep. It may sound harmless, but it has extremely harmful side effects if you stay around them for a long time, especially the wild ones will even make you go crazy overnight and even lose your eyesight.

Flosiezane Essence are widely popular among students and night guards. They use it to pull an all-nighter during exams seasons or night duties. There's less danger in the essence than the whole flower. Because they make sure to add only a tiny bit of the flower extract. This flower brings out a pleasant smell in the daylight, it is also a part of farming. But sadly, they are only found and grew in some forests of 7 different regions."

"How many regions are there exactly!?"

"More than 3000, I guess!"

"Hmm... So what do we do now?"

"We have to find a place where there is no Flosiezanes around us! I know a place. It should be near here. Come on, hurry!"

"Yeah coming." - I said as we walked forward (Ellis is flying and walking on the trees in between). The sun has started to set by now, and it's already too dark to even see anything. I don't know how Ellis is even seeing anything. I'm just following his slightly glowing antenna, which is the only thing I can make out in this darkness.

"So, what is the farming process of Forisen??"

"It's Flosiezane..."

"Yeah... same thing!"

"Well, you don't have to do anything in particular. You have to search and find these in the forest and take out the flower, you have to be super gentle with it. Flosiezane might seem like a crystal solid, but it's extremely soft and fragile, like every other flowers. If you are hard on them, they might break and release that toxic, which might cause you lifetime sufferings of insomnia. You know, there's this huge side effect of this flower. If someone lives or stays near of this flower, they would get fewer sleeps at night, and you know how important is sleep to us and humans. If one cannot get enough sleep, they might get crazy. So we have to be careful while we are around. This is why I was so worried before. Oh! Look, we finally got here."

In front of me was a large, tall tree. The branches are long and wide, Almost as wide that anyone can sleep on them without falling off.

"This is the safest place around here, I think. You can sleep off the branches, it's wide enough I guess. Let's get some rest, we have been out for a long time and I bet you feel worn out by now!"

"Yeah. We should take a good rest."

With that, both of us fell into deep slumber...
