Not a Fan of Motorcycles

DIANA POV

Roman is good at bikes. He skillfully navigated nature on two wheels with great twists and few spins until we reached the main road. I looked up the sky and saw a seascape of clouds, with lightning and thunder rumbling in anger.

Sighing in grief as I leave my heart back in the town, my chest tightened thinking of the man who conquered my mind. Leaving him behind, I closed my eyes with a hope of seeing him imminently while I grasp Roman's back tightly unknowingly. "Feeling okay back there?", he exclaimed. I tapped his chest signaling I'm okay.

I'm not a fan of motorcycles. I'd rather ride horses, trucks or helicopters, but not these type of wind chasers - especially with a man I hardly know. The speed make my body more tense, and the bumpy ride forces me to uncomfortably tug on Roman's body.

Roman saved me a couple of times, indeed. However, with my first impression of him, and the way he claim me as his Luna, I feel inconveniently at ease in his presence.

Once again, we passed by the road roofed with rustling trees of different shades of green. I recognized this roadway for we drove here before with Scott and his friends.

Scott, again.

I can't get him off of my mind, I hope he's okay. I decided to focus on the beautiful scenery of nature, instead of the unpleasant memories and experiences that repeatedly play over and over in my head. I've gone through so much, not to mention the unthinkable thought that Scott turned into a lycan.

As expected, we move past the road with dead oak trees I thought I knew somewhere from my deepest memory. My heart fluttered seeing a familiar back of a man walking in. He was wearing an all white attire with black belt and black shoes, carrying a brown suitcase rapidly walking under the thundershowers. I tried to halt Roman but he just sped up ahead missing my chance to look at the man who seemed I personally know. He sped up some more until the man is out of my sight.

I'm wrong, I hoped. Truly.

We've been travelling too far and so long when I started to feel my legs cramp and my arms getting weary. I was about to lose grip when Roman slowed down his motorcycle to a stop. I noticed a pack of two red and two brown wolves that stood on guard on the side of the road as they snarl.

I lifted my head up and saw Calvin with four more extremely pale men blocking the road. Removing my helmet, I saw his dead bloodshot eyes as he give me a devilish smile that made my skin shiver in fear.

"Calvin? What are you doing here?", I shouted.

"You know them, Luna?", Roman asked as he looked back at me. "Well, even if they're your friends, I don't really like vampires", he added as he rev his motorcycle.

"He's an old friend, and I'm not particularly very fond of them too.", I answered. I stared at Calvin with his skin that seemed to look dull and cracking under the light. His long hair tucked on his back, his pair of bloody red eyes looked deadly, and his claws seemed sharper than a scalpel - a horrific sight I'd never want to see elsewhere alone. So, this is how he really looks like.

"What do you want, pale face?", Roman asked with a tone of authority and dexterity.

"Hand me my woman… and we'll spare your lives", Calvin said as he hissed.

"YOUR woman?! My Luna ain't going anywhere. It's your lives we're not going to spare.. if you won't move along", Roman revved up a bit more as the wolves, on standby by, moved closer growling and snarling as they drool so much saliva. "I never knew a wolf would be realistically captivating for bloodsuckers", Roman cringed.

"You say wolf!?", Calvin laughed cynically. "Diana is not a wolf.. How I hate having petty arguments with mutts. Diana, my dear, come here this instant please", Calvin took one step closer with his hand reaching to me.

"No, Calvin.. I'm sorry but, I won't go with you", I exclaimed.

"You heard the lady. Take one more step, and I won't promise you'll keep your head above your shoulders", Roman tnreatened to which Calvin did stop and glared at us. "Say whatever you want, but you have to kill me first before you get her", I flinched when Roman caressed my bare leg with his warm palm.

"Let's have it your way then", in a blink of an eye Calvin disappeared subequently with the other vampires. The wolves growled as they spread on the road, circling us. I looked around trying to find where the vampires might have been. Roman seemed to be calm as he stayed in place on his motorcycle, in front of me.

In a few seconds, the vampires landed one by one on the back of every wolf. The wolves violently shook the vampires off, biting their legs as they throw them away.

I gasped when Calvin suddenly appeared beside the motorcycle, then grabbed Roman by his neck. He threw Roman effortlessly as he shapeshift to a large gray wolf.

I fell down with the motorcycle trapping my leg underneath. Calvin was about to reach me when Roman charged him taking him away from me.

I tried to move the heavy motorcycle, releasing my leg. With a few scratches, I'm okay. Running away from the brawl, I felt a cold hand touch my neck. It felt like something pricked my skin. I reflexively grabbed his hands, bent over and flip him out. Calvin slid down and looked back at me.

"I didn't know you're this strong, Diana. I hope you have that similar strenght in bed too", Cavin smiled showing his fangs as he leap towards me.

Jumping midair, Roman bit Calvin's shoulder causing extreme damage to his limb. I walked backwards rapidly until I fell to the ground in shock. I watch how Calvin gaze at me while he fight against Roman with his life.

I crawled backwards slowly, caressing my neck as I wince on the pricking pain I feel. Gulping a lump in my throat, a red wolf landed beside me as a vampire lunge on him taking the upperhand. I threw rocks at the vampire as it attack the wolf. I flinched when I accidentally touched a sharp tin wounding my fingertips. Then, wicked thought came to my mind. I took the tin lid and sliced my arm luring the vampire away from the beaten red wolf using my blood.

NOW WHAT?
