CHAPTER 6
The strange man calmly looked at Tristan and Wadye but his patience was running out as his icy gaze looked at Tristan.
Tristan shrugged helplessly with a playful grin "She's a beauty...what did you expect of me" Tristan said charismatically.
Wadye sighed inwardly and spoke calmly "We managed to hunt down a low ranked group of hybrids today....just a weak group of humans with a little bit of black blood flowing through them"
"Darlene here just so happened to be part of them.....honestly we were just as surprised as you are to find out she's a hybrid.....It seems a strong and veiling kind of spell was upon them such that we couldn't sense that black blood in them"
Wayde was a bit grim as spoke the last bit, a cold glint flashed crossed his calm flaming red eyes.
The stranger nodded lightly but his aura turned even more suffocating and the whole room chilled.
Darlene who was tied to the chair shivered out of immense fear...what kind of demon was standing infront of her.
For the first time in her life, she was scared despite knowing she wasn't weak but before such monsters, she could undoubtedly sense her own inferiority.
She was a weak ant to them but she was still confused as to why they were holding her captive.
"Is she a chaos hybrid or is she stable" the stranger asked Wayde but his gaze had shifted off to Darlene.
Darlene froze still as she heard the name chaos hybrids. She was no stranger to the name but she knew the danger of being labelled with that name.
Her eyes darted around at the three men before her and her mind got a scary idea of who they were
'Noo...they can't possibly be chaos hybrid slayers'. Fear held onto Darlene's heart like a leech.
Wayde looked at the stranger and said "Why not check for yourself" he was giving it as a suggestion.
The man glanced at Darlene and his hand moved to the back of her head. He tilted
her head to look directly into his eyes.
Darlene froze still not daring to move.
This man's eyes scared her to death.
His eyes had stopped glowing but now it's as if his eyes had frozen like ice.
A cold gush of bone chilling wind blew against Darlene and she felt as if someone had invaded her whole being.
Suddenly under this man's gaze, Darlene felt like she was lying naked right before this man and there was nothing about herself that she could hide from him.
She blushed red hot but she was shaking from fear. She felt as though this man was going through her memories and thoughts and she wanted to close her eyes but she couldn't.
The strange man suddenly narrowed his eyes dangerously as a thick killing intent permitted from his icy eyes.
Darlene's heart was racing madly in her chest. Tristan and Wayde stood at the side with calm faces.
"You've killed many humans Darlene" the strange man finally spoke and Darlene had a fright when she saw the man's white neat teeth as he grinned.
The way he said her name mesmerised and scared her at the same time.
"She's a chaos hybrid....her blood is mostly human and the black blood in her really taints her...she has absolutely no control over her actions when her body starts to demand for human blood"
"She loses all rationality and ends up in a killing spree....hmmmm...how interesting"
"She has absolutely no self restraint and is deemed a chaotic little hybrid"
The strange man chuckled and Darlene felt ripples of fear as she heard that man's deep voice as he chuckled.
He let go of her head and stood up.
Suddenly the man was even more scary as a bloodlust aura permitted from his whole body.
Darlene's pupils constricted savagely.
Her urge to run and to defend herself kicked in an and she lost all self control.
Her already red eyes glowed savagely and she bared out her two sharp and elongated upper canines at the strange man.
She thrashed wildly in an attempt to break free of the power bonding her but ultimately Wayde was on another level from her so she couldn't break free.
Tristan and Wayde instinctively moved back when they saw the bloodlust in the strange man's eyes.
They didn't fear Darlene but the man infront of her was another story.
They just had to keep their safe distance incase he choose to deal with Darlene.
"So tell me Darlene.....what were you planning on doing to little Avry once you got the chance to be completely alone with her"
The strange man coldly asked a question that brought a bit of rationality back into Darlene.
She looked at the man in complete surprise..not expecting to hear the name of the girl she took care of in her work hours.
She wondered how this man knew little Avry.
She had never met any of little Avry's relatives, all she knew was that she came from some extremely rich family.
Darlene stared at the man's menacing gaze under that hoodie and she shivered at the possibility that came to her mind.
The man had called Avry with such care that Darlene was sure she hadn't heard it wrong.
Could this man be a relative of Avry....but no that was impossible....this man was definitely not human yet Avry was a healthy human girl...there's no way....unless ofcourse...Avry was....
Darlene paused in her thinking and she couldn't believe her own speculation despite knowing it might be true.
She looked at the strange man "Who are you....what are you....and how do you know Avry Walker"
Darlene couldn't help but ask and even though she couldn't see it..she was sure that the man was smirking coldly at her.
"I asked you a question...what were you gonna do to Avry" the man asked in his cold tone and Darlene shivered.
"You didn't pick her up tonight....I guess you were busy satisfying your bloodlust..."
Darlene was still as she heard his words.
His eyes glanced at her and she didn't know what to do....
True...for some reason she had always been attracted by that little girl's scent and not more than once had she lusted to have a taste of her blood.
Problem was that the security around Avry had always been tight hence she had never had the opportunity despite being her caretaker.
Today she couldn't control the drive and she had to do some little hunting with a couple of friends to satisfy her hunger but she was sure if she had ever had the chance to be alone with Avry, she would....
Darlene stopped thinking when she felt that demonic pair of eyes on her...
She was frightened 'Noo...can he read my thoughts'
