CHAPTER 1

The Helicopter took off swiftly.The journey was going smoothly until someone from the crew said,calling everyone attention'grab your parachutes'the Captain just got a problem with aircraft.Everybody heart rate quickened as the plane became unsteady and suddenly it crashed into the mountain close to Bauchi.

Immediately,the emergency service was called by some tourist who were on visit.

All passengers were put on stretchers and were taken to the city hospital,some of the passengers were later discharged after they were diagnosed and confirmed okay while some were admitted because of their unconscious state.

Maleek has been unconscious for four days and through his identity card,his parents has been contacted.Due to the shock he got in the crash,some part of his body had become Numb.The Doctor was checking Riyadh when he gently opened his eyes,only to see white ceilings,he closed it and opened it again then tried to sit up ,that was when the doctor noticed and helped him to a sitting position and adjusted the pillow at his back,Maleek was surprised when he saw the strange faces,the remembered the crash and how he Had tumbled from his seat when he was trying to Fasten his seatbelt.

Then the doctor introduced himself and told him his parents were outside the ward waiting for him to be conscious.

Alhaji and Hajia Nasir Bako rushed into the ward as the doctor left to their little family reunion.Hajia kept crying like a child as his Father tried to console her"we thought we lost you",she said.As you can see I'm very much alive,he replied only to get a glare from his Father.You are still not well ,the Doctor said you still need enough rest and come for check up every week,until you get back on your feet.Maleek became furious because this was a way for his parents to keep him in Bauchi.

I can get treatment in Abuja when I return,I just came here for a survey,I promise I would be soon.

You are not leaving Bauchi until you're healed and that is final,Hajia said.

Later Maleek was assisted into his wheelchair in disgust,finally,he would be leaving the hospital, really hates the smell of the hospital.

Hajia pushed him out of the hospital to a waiting Black SUV.The chauffeur rushed out to open the door.They entered and drove out of the hospital premises.

Maleek remained in silence until the driver came to a halt.He was helped out of the Car and was rushed in by some help in the house.Hajia went to the kitchen to see if Dinner was ready.Mallam Hassan came running as he saw Maleek,"Oh my handsome boy, I can't believe this is you,I really missed you"Maleek just smiled and he looked round the house ,he could not remember the last time he came here.Mallam Hassan has been working for his parent even before he was born.He was a nice and caring man and fun to be with just like his Son Umar.

Maleek went to his room and was assisted by Hajia,he took his Bath and changed his clothes to have dinner.

As he tried to move from the wheelchair to the dinning chair,he felt a Sharp pain in his joint.But the pain after some minutes then he went to the Dinning Room to have Dinner.

Hajia served him some coconut rice pudding,Danwanke and some pineapple juice.'I guess this is enough?'she asked glancing across at him.'perfect he said realizing that all the time he was living alone he was always eating out or he made noddles,pasta for Dinner,then coffee and toast for breakfast.Now he is back to Bauchi enjoying Hajia's food.His mother had always been the best cook for as long as he can remember and he always rushed every morsel when eating her food,he thought.

After Dinner ,he went to his father's study where he can attend to some work,since he would have to be working from for the main Time.
