5. Changes and a Heavenly talent

Choosing the door on the right David continued looking around. This door lead to a kitchen, there was a stove area, washing area and a pantry area. The pantry area had those strange glittering runes too, but David was sure that these functioned as a means to preserve everything inside. He figured this since there was still items such as flour and grain inside, there was even fruit with not a speck of mold.

After checking out the kitchen David went out and through the other door, on the other side of that door was a hallway with 5 more doors. The first three doors were all bed rooms containing a queen sized bed, a wardrobe, a full body mirror, a desk and chair.

The door at the end of the hall had hundreds of glowing symbols on it so David left it alone and went into door number four. This room was a huge bathroom, on the right side was a set up of what looks like four showers with a chrysanthemum knob to operate each.

the rest of the room was taken up by a massive in ground tub, it was all black with gold trim as a border. There was four gold lions on the back wall with one red and one blue eyes that looks like gems, it looked like water suppose to come out of there. The knob to turn on the water was placed on the left wall, it was shaped like a chrysanthemum and also gold.

Finished with exploring this cave house David returned to the kitchen and proceeded to cook for him and shadow. With new ingredients to use David couldn't help but to cook multiple dishes. He grilled marinated frog legs, turtle soup, rice, and baked an apple pie for dessert.

With dinner eaten and the dishes washed David decided it was time to check out the gift box he received. Opening up his inventory and clicking on the box two new items appeared in his inventory, one was a book and the other was a beast core.

David clicks on each item and reads the description of them.

After reading the descriptions David realizes that both items were meant to be used together as a set. David clicked on the book to use it and felt a rush of energy through his body, the number on the book dropped to five right after. Remembering what the system said about the core and impurities, David headed to bathroom.

David got naked and sat on the floor under one of the showers and ate the dragon core. As soon as he ate it David started feeling excruciating pain all over his body followed by the sound of notifications.

Not being able to handle the pain David falls unconscious. Eight hours later David wakes up to the most horrendous smell imaginable. Holding back the urge to vomit David turns on the shower and begin to scrub off the thick layer of pungent hard black crud he's covered in.

After washing up and putting on clean clothes David goes into one of the rooms and looks at himself in the mirror. David was two meters tall with chocolate skin that looked like polished bronze was mixed with it. His body had no sign of excess fat anymore and was now perfectly tonned. David felt like his body was brining with energy and power, he wanted to know what else changed so he pulled up his status.

David was quite surprised at the new addition to his status and that he's now apparently part dragon. David became ecstatic to find out what bedbugs benefits this change will bring in the future, but for now it was time for breakfast.

After cooking and eating breakfast David was surprised about the new skills he gained, even with mixing up different animal ingredients. He wondered that if one use had this much benefit, then what about the other five users.

Unfortunately his train of thought was way off, cause when he clicked on it to use it had a new option. The option to use on himself was gone but in its place was an option to use it on shadow. With nothing to lose David clicks it and uses the Heavenly Devour Talent book on shadow, shadow glows for a minute then goes back to normal.

Wondering if it worked David gave shadow the brutal tiger core to see what happens. Unlike all the other times he gave shadow a monster core, shadow layed down and started glowing. Five minutes later the glow became to bright to even look at, David quickly turns around to avoid it.

Two minuets goes by and the light finally starts to dim, David turns around just in time to see shadow emerge from the light. Shadow was now standing at 24 inches tall, his body was now more robust like a tiger and his main now resembled a lion's. He now looked very powerful and gave off a powerful aura as well, even his status has changed.

While admiring shadow's new status, David hears a random masculine voice. David quickly checks his mini map and starts looking around trying to find who the voice belonged to. He sees no one and wondered if he was hearing things, until it spoke again.

"No need to look around boy, come to the back room. There is much for us to talk about."
