Chapter 26

At Scrollania College, students were required to have their test papers signed by their parents. While Freya's parents had high hopes for her, she was not good at studies. Everytime when the results were out, it was a disaster for her. On top of that, the college only accepted her father's signature.

Freya got excited as soon as she heard what Bella had said. While others' signature would not count, his cousin's one must be fine?

Freya quickly flattered Bella, he was amused, "Alright. Look after Miss Martin. I have something to do. I'm leaving."

Freya nodded attentively.

Bella bowed at Sara slightly and said, "Miss Martin, I'll get going."

Sara replied, "Safe journey, Bella."

Seeing Bella left, Freya gave Sara's shoulder a nudge and said, "What's the relationship between you and my cousin?"

Sara didn't have many friends so it was the first time someone had ever been so friendly to her. She was slightly stunned, "We're just friends."

"Friends?" Freya raised her eyebrow and smile, "Whatever. School's about to begin. Let's go."

Scrollania College was a large place with several academic buildings scattered across the compound. When Freya led Sara to one of the buildings, they came across several students on the way.

Freya was a people person. She was greeted by many students as she walked along.

Sara and Freya were in the first class, it was the best class. Half of the students were excellent at studies while the other half came from powerful families.

Freya was the latter.

Put it simply, her parents had secured her a spot in the top class through connection

The homeroom teacher of Class One was already informed of Sara's arrival, so she was already standing at the door waiting for them.

The teacher was in her forties, with an elegant sense of fashion. She was wearing light makeup and she looked affable. She didn't show any surprise on her face when she saw Freya was bringing along a girl in casual wear. She said, "You must be Sara Martin. I am your homeroom teacher, Ms. Percy."

Sara was flattered. She replied, "Hello, Madam Percy. I'm Sara Martin."

The homeroom teacher looked at Freya and said, "You should go in first."

Freya did as she said. Madam Percy then looked at Sara and said softly, "Don't worry. I'll go in with you. We actually had a new student who just introduced herself just now."

Sara had a bad feeling when she heard about that. Madam Percy held Sara's hand as they entered the classroom.

There were forty students in the class. Each classroom was spacious. However, the scene in the front was a complete contrast to that at the back.

The desks and chairs were neatly arranged at the front row. Moreover, the students in front were burying themselves in the books. Meanwhile, the students at the back were in a mess. They were either eating, playing games, sleeping or chatting.

Madam Percy slammed on the table to get their attention, "Silence please!"

The class settled down a little. All gazes fell on Sara.

Sara nervously lowered her head. Madam Percy clapped her hands and said, "Meet your new classmate."

Madam Percy motioned Sara to introduce herself.

Sara wrote her name on the board. A girl suddenly spoke before Sara could speak, "Sara Martin? Her family name was Martin? William, is she a relative of yours?"

Sara raised her head.

As expected, Sara saw William sitting at the middle row.

To Sara's surprise, William arrived earlier!

William was wearing a light makeup and she looked energetic. She smiled at the girl and said, "Oh, she's my sister."

The girl let out a gasp, "But you don't look alike at all!"

William, being the sociable person that she was, had already become friends with a number of classmates despite the fact that she was a new student. She glanced at Sara and said, "We don't share the same mother."

The whole class looked at Sara with disgust and hatred.

Most of the students were from well-known families and were no strangers to infidelity and affairs. So it went without saying that those students grew up despising illegitimate children.

Sara's face was very pale.

She wasn't expecting William to expose her background.

The teacher looked at her in surprise. There was complexity in her eyes, but she didn't say anything. She continued, "Sara, pick your seat."

"I don't want to sit with an illegitimate daughter." A girl with an empty seat next to her said, "Let alone an ugly bumpkin."

It was rude. Madam Percy glared at her, "Nina, watch your words!"

Nina said with a sneer, "Madam Percy, It's not like I'm wrong."

"Yeah, Teacher." Someone chimed in, "How could such a person be good when her mother destroyed someone else's family?"

"Anyway, I'm not sitting with her."

"Me too."

"Ugh, it makes me sick just thinking about we're in the same classroom together."

"Holy crap, I didn't know just about anyone could attend Scrollania College now. They're even taking in illegitimate daughters?"

"Isn't she trying to live beyond her means? There are all kinds of birds in the forest. Did you really think you would not be a sl*t once you've entered Scrollania College? How pathetic!"

"Poor Sara..."

Sara clenched her fists.

...No matter where she went, the title of an illegitimate daughter followed her. And just like that, William would not control her life forever.

Madam Percy was embarrassed. While the students do respect her, she didn't want to get into troubles. After all, they had strong family backgrounds.

She looked at Sara helpless,

"Hmm... why don't you go and wait at my office first, I'll get someone to set up your desk."

All the tables in the classroom were occupied. While no one was willing to sit next to Sara, Madam Percy could only set up another desk for her.

William looked at Sara with disdain and thought, "Let's see how much more abuse she can take."

Just as she was about to offer Sara to sit next to her, another female student opined, "Madam Percy, why are you giving so much trouble for yourself? Just send her to another class or expel her from Scrollania College."

Madam Percy knew things were going to be worse as soon as she heard that voice.

Sara looked over and saw a girl who was sitting at the last row of the classroom.

Despite having no makeup, she still looked pretty and had mesmerizing eyes, but she had a cold temperament, "You know, I hate illegitimate daughters the most."

Sara's face turned pale in an instant.

As soon as the girl spoke, the entire class fell into slience.

No one dared to provoke that girl in the class, not even the whole Scrollania College.
