Isaac sat in a dimly lit room, the weight of the report he had just torn to shreds hanging in the air. His hands trembled slightly, but not from weakness—no, it was anger. A slow, simmering rage filled his chest as he thought about his little brother, Adrian, and the torment he must have endured in the Hudel Mansion.

Luri, who was lounging nearby, raised an eyebrow as she watched Isaac shred the last of the report. She tossed a throw pillow across the room, hitting Isaac square in the back. "Is there some reason you're tearing up my carefully compiled reports, Isaac? You know, you could at least pretend to care about the work I do."

Isaac shot her a glare over his shoulder. "I don't need this garbage anymore. I'm done with investigating. I'm going to handle things my way."
