She could enter the ballroom when her PA and bodyguard ordered the paparazzi to go to the side.

Before entering the ballroom, she shot me another threatening glance and walked out with an attitude.

These girls and their tantrums..., oh my god.

Why this girl had to be so sassy was beyond me.

Does she regard herself as the queen of some nation?

She doesn't have a good sense of humor, and neither of her appearances is beautiful.

Perhaps you didn't pay close attention to her. She has the flawless features of an angel, with chocolate-colored hair that flutters over her shoulders. It proportioned beautifully, her physique all over, and a glance at her lips reveals she does not wear lip color.

However, it was her hazel eyes that caught my attention.

That haughty girl didn't appeal to me at all. I told my subconscious to keep quiet.

"Please come in, Mr. Woods. Everyone is excited to meet you." Steve's voice cut my discussion with my subconscious off.

"Oh, I see you've now realized that you came here as my PA."

I spent a lot of time standing up while posing for these annoying paparazzi, which made me angry.

Don't lie; if Miss Parker hadn't been here, you wouldn't have allowed the paparazzi to get close to you.

Since I met Miss Parker, something strange has happened in my subconscious that I can't explain.

My security followed Steve dragged me away from the horde of photographers and took me inside the ballroom.

When I walked into my ballroom, the city's wealthy businesspeople immediately swarmed me.

Woods Construction is the company that everyone wants to do business with, but I didn't come here to attend a boring business meeting.

Inside the ballroom, I kept glancing around for Miss Parker.

Finally, I noticed her chatting with a man in a ballroom corner.

I'm not sure why, but when I saw her, my heart seemed strangely at ease, and I just wanted to go up to her and talk.

If somebody were to ask me why now, I would have to honestly say that I do not know.

However, this business owner was so preoccupied with my business that it was challenging for me to get to her so quickly.

"Please pardon me while my PA responds to all of your inquiries."

I parted ways with Steve, leaving the boring business owner by my side.

With a breath of relief, I turned back to Steve and thanked him for saving me from the annoying crowd.

I could tell by the look on his face that he was not at all pleased with what I had done.

"Sorry Steve, but there was nothing I could do but stay away from them." I mumbled softly as I moved toward Miss Parker.

She is still speaking to him and judging by her wide smile, she must discuss something. I don't know why I was interested in hearing what she and the man were discussing.

"Yes, Mr. Chang, working with you will give us a lot to learn."

After focusing intently on what they were discussing, I finally caught Miss Parker's words.

"Please, Steve, provide me with all the details about Mr. Chang, who is attending this charity ball right now."

I dialed his number and requested him to text me all the details about the person in front of Miss Parker.

"Your commercial acumen is impressive, Miss Parker." That man is swooning over Miss Parker based on the way he fixed his eyes on her.

Huhh..Such a typical man.

"Mr. Chang, a Chinese business magnate in the construction industry, now wants to expand his business by partnering up with significant construction firms in major American cities. He has never made a sizable investment in a Californian city before. Many businesses want to work together with Mr. Chang, but only Parker Industries in California can do so."

"Excellent Steve."

He supplied me with the precise details that I required. My P.A. is certainly quite annoying, but he responds well when I give him a hint about what I need and when. He has been my assistant until this point because of this trait of his.

"Hello, Mr. Chang." I walked in and broke up their discussion.

Miss Parker was glaring at the dragger at me with enraged eyes.

I realized from Mr. Chang's confused facial expression that he could not recognize me. He was about to speak to me when his P.A. approached him and muttered something quietly.

He kept turning to gaze at me throughout their conversation, so perhaps he was talking about me.

"Hello, It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Woods."

The look of perplexity that had been on Mr. Chang's face quickly transformed into one of eager anticipation.

"Since my P.A. has been trying to schedule a meeting with you, she has repeatedly been unable to do so because of your hectic schedule." Mr. Chang replied as he extended his hand to shake my hand.

"We can have a meeting right now if you would like." I spoke slowly while paying close attention to Miss Parker.

"Yes, why not?" The delight on his face when he heard my response made it obvious how eager he was to work with Woods Construction.

"I'll talk to you later, Mr. Chang."

Oh no, if she departs from here, my goal will not have been achieved.

"You can stay here if you like, Miss Parker. I only have five minutes to speak with Mr. Chang."

"No, I'm not interested in hearing about your business."

Hmm.. full-on attitude.

The annoying look on her face made me very delighted, but it was her angry red nose that caught my eye. Her red nose tip was so adorable it resembled the cherry on top of a vanilla cake.

Be quiet. My mind was applauding her, but I stopped it.

She was a little away from us, but I could tell she could hear us clearly if she wanted to because I could easily hear both of them, even from that distance.

"Mr. Woods To conduct business in New York City, Chang Industries wants to work with Woods Construction."

"Okay, but there's a condition."

"What?"

He gave me a puzzled glance.

Why did he think I would be so quick to accept his offer?

Although the share price of our company will rise further if Woods Construction collaborates with Chang Industries, he must agree with my condition if he wants to collaborate with us.

"Collaboration with Woods Construction in California is also required if you wish to work with them in New York City."

"What?

But why?

Mr. Chang couldn't respond to my question before Miss Parker's irate voice pierced my ears.

It was my only goal to meet and beat Miss Parker at this charity ball, but I did not know it would happen.
