In need of luck

Before returning home, Neven stopped at a pharmacy to get some vitamins for Vera. He also bought fresh fruits from the supermarket.

Then, he visited Mario Lucerni's study in Milan. He was as successful as to have studies in the biggest cities in Europe, including Milan and - obviously, his headquarters - Vienna.

Doctor Lucerni had been insecure about visiting Vera without her consent or knowledge, at first, but he had changed his mind after meeting her and after checking that Neven indeed didn't have bad intentions. That poor girl needed help, and Neven risked making things worse if Mario didn't meddle.

Thankfully, it didn't look like Vera needed therapy or medicine. Someone taking care of her could be enough to heal the wounds in her heart.

«So?» the doctor heard as soon as the brat sat down. He didn't like being rushed, not even when it was his friend's son.

«So what?» he said. «What do you want to know?»

«Vera.»
