«I'll stay,» Vera said. «But I have to catch the train today, okay? I can't stay forever.»
«No? But will we meet again?» Neven replied, still hugging her like a bear. He wasn't going to let go until she asked him to.
Unless she had a better idea than staying hugged like that.
«I'm sorry for yesterday,» she sighed. «I got drunk with the wine and fell asleep. It was boring, wasn't it?»
«No, how could it be boring?»
«Are you sure?» She turned on her back so she could look him in the eye. «It was not what you were expecting, though. It couldn't be.»
«No, but it was fun. You're so talkative when you drink.»
«I'm sorry if I said something weird.»
«You can say whatever you want,» he hummed, getting closer to her. He pecked her temple, pressing his lips a second longer. Then, he moved his lips lower, on her cheek.
