Full of surprises (part 2)

I left Superman behind with millions of questions still left unanswered before walking over to Rob who had been trying to get my attention for a while now. Hila had just got done talking to some other guest and joined beside me.

"Wow bro, you really are full of surprises, but why did you have me wear a mask?" asked Rob with a confused look on his face.

I looked at my good friend in front of me and smiled. He had already accepted that I was King Moonlight and had moved on from it like it was nothing. "You know that movie I've discussed with you?"

Rob nodded his head. "Yeah, what about it?"

Opening my systems inventory, I pulled out some blueprints for the Iron Man armor I had designed to look just like it's origin and handed it to Rob. "I was thinking about making the movie part of your debut if you were interested."

Rob raised an eyebrow at my words as he looked down at the blueprints that were handed to him. He couldn't help but be impressed with the cool design, but he had some doubts. "I'm not really Hero material, I just got out of rehab and my life is a mess. Are you joking with me?"

"No, id never joke about something like this. There are less worthy people out there being Heroes everyday. In your heart you are a good person and although you had a rough patch, you worked hard and overcame it. Nobody is perfect, especially not heroes." As I was speaking, Hila was nodding next to me. She and I both had questionable origins. Neither of us could be considered a good person originally, We are now just people that try to do good. I believe that is enough.

I could see Rob was still not convinced and so I appealed to his inner nerd. "The armor on those blueprints that I plan to make for you will let you be on par with and even more powerful than some of the leagues founders. Not only will it let you fly, but the armor itself will be nearly indestructible, it will have the most advanced Human and Alien arsenal second only to Cyborg, the armor will also be made of nano technology and easily stored in a watch when you aren't using it, and lastly you will have a built in A.I. that can do all the hard thinking for you."

Rob eyed me up and down, but could not hide his interest and excitement no matter how hard he tried to look uninterested. "What's the catch exactly? I doubt you would do this out of the kindness of you heart, you're not the type."

"Catch? I simply want to work beside my friend from time to time and create Heroes that have my back before anyone else's. I suppose if there was a catch, It would be that I would require you to go through a training course first before you are able to acquire the armor. Once you have the armor I won't interfere with your Hero journey in any way unless you join the dark side or something. Of course you also need to know that we will likely be fighting some very powerful beings in the future, maybe even more powerful than my current self."

Rob was no longer as guarded and skeptical after hearing his friends words. He could tell Aeric wasn't sugar coating anything and just giving it to him straight. "What kind of training?" he asked, curious.

At this time Kryl appeared out of nowhere as if summoned by the conversation. "You will be training under me. We will focus on physical training along with mechanical engineering for the most part, but we will have a number of other things that you will need to do as well. It is mine and King Moonlights wish that you will be the third Knight of Moonlight City in the future, but of course that is up to you. We will not force such a thing."

Seeing Kryl arrive, I nodded to them both and grabbed Hila's hand before walking away with her. "I'll leave you two to get acquainted then." I said as I waved back to them.

Right when I was about to turn to Hila and talk to her, I heard the familiar voice of Cosmic Starlight. "You dirty dog, why didn't you ever tell me?"

Beside her was the Scream Queen Nina who had her arms folded over her bountiful pale peaks trying to look everywhere but my face. She was clearly upset to some degree for not being told sooner. Looking at the two, I wondered where Supergirl was until I saw her talking to her son along with Superman nearby.

I decided to answer her question honestly. "I didn't think it was important at the start, but as time went on, I contemplated telling you all often. I just couldn't find the right time. It was actually Hila's suggestion to tell everyone today."

Hila who was beside me nodded before speaking herself. "I know of your feelings to my husband and I simply wanted to help you speed things along. It hurt my heart to see you three strung along when I also have grown quite attached to you. Hopefully in the near future we can become closer as Queens of Moonlight City."

Scream Queen and Cosmic Starlight had a hint of pink on their face as they suddenly felt exposed in front of the man they loved. They couldn't deny it and it was obvious to everyone that Supergirl had long been head over heels. The two looked over to Supergirl and then the Young teenage boy she was talking to. A little jealous in their heart. They were far behind Queen Hila and Supergirl by miles. The only way to catch up to the two was to be more assertive in the future.

Seeing the two girls in front of me contemplate Hila's words, I spoke up. "I don't see myself having anymore than four wives in the future. I'm also not one to chase down women, no matter how much I like them. If you like me, I'll be here for you, but if you don't, I can also just as easily be friends in the future. Your choice."

"Oh wow, a real romantic" Said Nina who finally spoke up in a sarcastic tone.

I shrugged my shoulders at her words. I wasn't so desperate that I would bleed out of my nose for them, I've expressed my intentions and the rest was up to them. A king shouldn't grovel. "Just think on it....or don't." I said as I walked away, already over such an uncomfortable conversation.

Hila chuckled and stayed behind with the two girls. If she didn't understand her dishonest tsundere husband, who would? The other two girls were also not fooled by the uncaring act King Moonlight used to protect himself. They knew that they were in his heart just as much as he was in theirs.
